Dash Tasti-Crisp Electric Air Fryer Oven: Cook Healthy Meals with Temperature Control

Ava S.: Bought this at the height of pandemic. Used it for three years straight, at least 3-4 times a week. Always worked like a charm. I noticed in the past few months, my potatoe wedges weren’t as golden as they used to be and all of a sudden it stopped working after 3 years and 4 months of dedicated service to me and my family. We bought a much bigger air fryer but this little wonderful gadget got me stated on oil free fried cuisine. I wish it lasted longer but for the price and the work horse that it was, I really can’t complain.

ThinGreenLine: I love this thing. It's simple to use, simple to clean, not very big so you won't be cooking any turkeys or anything but for a batch of fries or wings or chips, it does a great job. I wouldn't necessarily trust the cooking times in the book that comes with it, that's more of a trial and error thing, but once you get the timing down you'll be frying stuff all the time. Great addition to the kitchen, for sure.

DozerCSX: This is a well reviewed, highly rated air fryer. I cook regularly for my wife and I, usually two, occasionally three. So this 2.6 quart air fryer looked to be a perfect fit for us.
I received it this weekend and immediately put it to work. Some positive features:

- this thing cooks FAST. I made chicken nuggets, and the first batch was completed in 12 minutes (6 minutes per side). My wife and son absolutely loved them. I have struggled with cooking chicken in the past - too gooey or too dry. This air fryer just nailed them - well cooked, moist but not oily or dry. Probably the best chicken I've ever prepared. And they were so popular, I made 3 batches (of 12 nuggets). Each batch was just as perfect and delicious. No warmup required, just set the timer and Bam! you're there.

- Super simple to use. There's a simple analog temperature wheel, up to 400 degrees. I did the nuggets at 360, and they were perfect. The outside is cool to the touch, with well placed handles on top of the unit, and for the basket. Simple, easy and safe to pull the basket with one hand on each handle.

S. Engelman: My oven was improperly wired at my apartment complex when I moved in. Management, who handles appliances, refuses to fix it while I am in residence (eg they'll fix it for the next person but I can suck it). This has required adaptation over the years to my cooking habits.

The stove has two hobs that work, two that don't, and if you keep things to half the oven, it MIGHT cook if the stars are properly aligned. I got an Instant Pot one Prime Day, and it's been the best dang thing. But, as someone who doesn't cook with a lot of oil, and loves french fries, that has been the biggest thing I have missed, and often have spent way too much on fast food fries as a result (ew).

So thus began the hunt. The hunt to find an air fryer that was small enough for my very limited counter space, without needing too much attention during the cooking process. I didn't want the one my mother has because it aggravates even her, requiring preheating and, unfortunately, a lot of adjusting times. It became such a source of frustration for her that I put off finding one for myself for quite a while.

Alas, finding something that met all the requirements I had, plus fit my limited budget...

proctor164: I’ve had an actifry for many years, one of the original ones. Makes great fries…but not too much else because of the stirring action beats stuff up. I decided to try one of these style of air fryers to have while camping. So far it’s really great! I find it incredibly versatile. For example you can cook two hamburgers and then quickly toast the buns afterwards. Or cut a frozen pizza into quarters and just cook one portion. For this particular Dash model, it’s simple and effective. The top handle is a bonus as well as the temperature control, and the size is compact and perfect for 1-2 people. It’s size also helps with portion control to be honest. I’m not sure why you’d need to spend more than this other than to get a larger size. Don’t fall for any gimmick features…it’s a mini convention oven. Has a fan and element - blows hot air into a pot with a grate at the bottom. Couldn’t get any simpler. Don’t spend more that a hundred bucks on an “air fryer”…it’s not warranted. Cheers!

Walid Helal: Good quality air fryer for the sale price. I have used it fairly regularly for 6 months now, most of the time just tossing in preseasoned frozen chicken breasts from Walmart, and then some mini potatoes. The trick is to use some cooking spray directly on the meat after, turns out perfect every damn time.

Even heat, easy to use, and easy clean up. The small size makes it perfect for single people or couples. Wish I had bought a few more before the price increase as gifts and for myself (simultaneous air frying?).

DayaneDayane: Me encantó, está muy buena. Ya la usé para hacer alitas y también para hacer milanesas y quedó rico. Muy práctica. El tamaño es bueno para una o dos personas si tu familia es grande, considera una más grande, porque no tiene espacio para poner mucho. Pero para mí está perfecta. El color también es muy lindo.

Ana PaolaAna Paola: La amooooo, me simplifica la vida de una manera increíble, también compre de esta misma marca la mini wafflera y la ameee no se le pega nada, al igual que esta air fryer, he visto comentarios de que es difícil lavarla y la verdad es que para nada!!! No dudes en comprarla, la calidad es muy buena, también leí que decían que huele mucho a plástico quemado y la realidad es que casi no huele a plástico más bien huele a las cosas deliciosas que cocinas.
Hice una ardua investigación y creo que está Air fryer es la mejor opción, la marca Dash es buenísima, también te recomiendo le des una checada a los demás productos.
