Robert S.: Install was pretty easy. Cut rod to fit directly over flush valve. Works great. Handle gives solid feel. WAY better price than factory original, which, by the way, is kind of junkie. I just purchased my second one of these. They look great, work just like you would expect. Much better than the factory originals. Used on two different mgr's toilets.

Vicktory: I love this handle, so far. I will amend my review if I find issues.

I already replaced the tank innards. But it came with a flimsy plastic arm, which I expected, when I ordered this to replace it. The flapper that comes with the innards that I purchased is pretty heavy. I think this is why my handle doesn’t stay in the flush position, that other reviewers complain about. I also bought the white handle. Half of the white handle is plastic. I noticed the reviews who complained about handle:arm balance had purchased the metal version, which may be heavier, and adding to the weight discrepancies. If this was to occur, I was prepared to hang a bag of nuts and bolts on the arm with a zip tie. But it hasn’t come to that yet.

So I assembled the handle, and thankfully I hadn’t tightened that nut, because the arm assembly has to be attached after the handle is attached. I didn’t have octopus arms to reach around to screw the wing nut into the screw, and my fingers aren’t quite as nimble as they once were. So I had to force the handle down to raise the arm to be able to see and screw the wing nut. When people use the phrase, “This screws!”, this is really what...

StevieQ: I installed this gold-toned toilet lever made by Danko several years ago. That lever lasted only about 3 to 4 years before the handle just snapped at the narrowest part. Perhaps it failed due to bad casting or perhaps it was poorly designed. There's a hole drilled through the narrowest part of the handle that made the narrowest part even weaker. There's no good reason why they had to drill that hole on the handle during the manufacturing process. I bought a replacement of the same model on Amazon because I like the gold tone appearance of this lever, but its durability is known to be poor. Keep this in mind when you purchase it. At least it is cheap.

Roger Foster: I bought this to replace the cheap handle on my new American Standard, not only was if flimsy plastic the rod was not long enough to flip the flapper up all the way so many times it would miss flush & slam shut after only draining 1/4 of the tank.

this handle is perfect, its good quality, the rod is long enough to allow the flapper to fully open, it actually feels like a real flush now

the only down side is the travel stopper nub needs to be ground or filed down to about half of what it currently is to allow enough movement for a full flush feel

MaraWinterhyde: So I had trouble installing this. I'm a single mom and I don't have a man in the house that can do these sort of things for me. I do everything myself. I've become pretty handy over the last decade taking care of my daughter so long behold I got frustrated with trying to install this because the company didn't take into effect the thickness of the tank so when I put the actual handle in the hole that I needed to use for the attachment on the inside of the tank was partly covered by the thickness of the tank. So I had to get my daughter's dad to come over, he's a contractor for his career, and install it for me. He was even frustrated with it and had never seen anything like this. Once it was said and done it works great. The problem I have is that I actually now have to hold the handle down in order to flush my toilet. I can't just press it down and walk away. Which is another really frustrating thing but it is what it is at least now I don't have to reach into my tank and flush my toilet.

Old and Stiff: First, May 2020 ... mine is different from the one pictured.
Mine is a round brass rod for the first 6 inches,
then becomes the flat section for the chain-hook.
Much better design, as I can bend the rod in any direction,
letting me bend it to a perfect position
for a high flapper and better flush.

I do like the style of handle, I'm impressed !
All internal components are metal.
The arm is bendable to suit different styles of flappers.
And the handle also has a perfect, built-in internal
range of stroke mechanism, that you will really like !
My apologies for being long-winded, but this handle is worth it.
BUT ... the way the arm bolts to the handle's pivot inside the tank is
with a brass Philip's screw and wing-nut.
I was unable to ever get it tight enough to hold for more than a couple days.
And (in our toilet) when loose, the flapper then get held open. (Murphy's law) lol
Sooo .. I used a stainless nut and bolt .. to fasten the handle to the arm.
I also needed to file/grind the handle's internal bottom bolting surface to a flat, (very easy)
as the round bolt's-seat was not ideal (impossible) for tightening a nut or...
