Rita: I read these books to my children, now reading them to my grandchildren. They are real classics! I appreciate them even more now that I have read the story of H.A. Rey and Margaret Rey. I had never read the original book of how George came from the jungle. That one is my 3 yr old grandson’s favorite right now. I have read some comments about how some people think the books encourage bad behavior and bad treatment of animals. Well I have raised 3 daughters, without any ill effects, and one grandson is now a high school senior. He is an incredibly wonderful, loving young man, very respectful, and absolutely loves animals. I could not ask for better results. I have 2 more grandchildren who are quite young and are growing up just fine.

Adelie: Who didn't grow up loving Curious George? This is a timeless story about a mischievous little monkey, the first in an endless series of offshoot tales, but this is the original. Some criticize the patriarchal nature of the story, embodied by The Man in the Yellow Hat. Perhaps if I were new to this, I would too. But it's a classic, dating from the 1940s, I think, and should be judged according to the times in which it was written. If such things trouble you, this is not the book for you. But I still love George!

Margarita: I've always been fascinated by this lovely little monkey therefore Curious George has always been part of my library and now my children love him just as much as I did. All his adventures are surely to captivate anyone!

Megs814: Seriously, these were pristine! I'm still giddy about this find - I bought them as favors for a birthday party and I couldn't have been any happier. The box had some wear and tear, but the books themselves were perfect - I opened one and I could hear the crack of the binding - I'm clearly the first person to open the actual books.

A super great deal and totally worth the 'risk' of buying a used item. I as super pleasantly surprised! And, really, you can never have too many books! The stories are great for toddlers and not overly long (bonus for parents who have to read them)!
