Christine Molaro: I did not want to purchase an Oyster Kitchen Center again so I am happy with the dual purpose blender/processor. Less items to dig out and easy cleaning. Great to have so many choices for speed.

Alexis B. Cano: My mother has had a cuisinart food processor for over 33 years and a cuisinart blender for about 10 years. I was ecstatic to find a combo set for myself at such a good price. The blender jar is glass which is hard to find in a world of plastic. The food processor part has a plate that flips one side for grating things like cheese and can flip to the other side for slicing things like carrots and other veggies. The parts disassemble for easy cleaning and storage. The look of the shiny silver is a little gaudy, but I can live with it for such a great price.

Wanda Phillips: This has to be one of my best buys of the year. I looked around at several different models of food processors and this one fared well in reviews and options.
We needed something compact, to fit into our small space, and we didn't want to trade power for size.
The size is perfect for cooking for two to four adults. My wife uses it to make a variety of sauces and chopping ingredients for dishes. It's relatively quiet (compared to our other kitchen appliances) and reliable. It's easy to use and it's compact so it's easy to store and retrieve. In fact, we store it in an overhead cupboard.
The dual use is brilliant. We can switch out when we need (but we mostly use the food processor). The blender glass is great for both hot and cold food. It's fast. I got to use it the other day for grinding hazelnuts and I had hazelnut gruel in moments.
A bonus for us is the chrome finish matches our other kitchen appliances.
I still use my immersion blender for smoothies in the morning because I can make them in the same container I drink them from and I do the dishes.

M. Leigh: I have the white version of this item for 7 years! I received it as a wedding gift. Yes it is very loud, but it's the first item like this I've ever owned, so I didn't have much to compare it to. But it's easy to clean, works fantastically, and has nice design. It has worked great until about a month ago when a friend was using the food processor at a party, to chop something. We heard this awful grinding noise and smoke started coming out! The black part between the base and the attachment shattered and melted all over the place.

I am not so disappointed, as I got 7 years out of this appliance, but it seems most people experience this problem much sooner.

Jenny: I love this god among mortals of the blender world. I love the superior control it gives the chef, the versatility, and the sleek style. Cuisinart cannot be outdone in this department.

I refuse to clutter my kitchen with gadgets galore. This multitasker eliminates any need for a separate food processor. The detachable one it comes with can easily tackle the average chef's quantity/quality needs. (It meets the needs of my household of 4).

Some people may prefer to have a separate 10 lb. food processor, complete with menacing blades ready to slice up the unsuspecting un-loader of the dishwasher....Not I.

I highly recommend the SmartPower duet to anyone who wants to preserve counter/cupboard space (read: sanity). A wise investment on my part, absolutely NO regrets!

Oh, and it crushes ice like a champ, great for margaritas, slushees, whatever.
