Pat Gonzalez: After looking at the so called best model of a competitor, I was concerned about it only having the second most powerful motor available. My concerns were pointless, this thing is Powerful. My first choice was WAY out of my budget, so, I took a chance. I'm glad I did. I wore out my old one, I was not looking forward to replacing my old stand by of years. But, now I don't miss it at all. This unit is easy to use, more than powerful enough to prepare for ten, and is a good value.

Explore: Great for making peanut butter w just dry roasted peanuts. Easy to make fruit bars, slice carrots and potatoes to dehydrate, veg shortening/peanuts/cornmeal/whole wheat flour bird suet,etc. Easy to clean in dishwasher. Seems sturdy after two months of steady usage.

Fer García: Este aparato es una maravilla en la cocina: permite procesar una gran cantidad de alimentos por vez y lo hace muy bien. Desde que se compró se le ha dado un uso semi-rudo: se utiliza tres o cuatro veces por semana para moler varios kilos de un mismo tipo de producto alimenticio (frijoles, que son alimentados al procesador a temperatura relativamente alta) y no se ha presentado ningún problema, es muy rápido y el motor tiene una gran potencia de trituración. Tenía algunas dudas por su construcción (que es principalmente de plástico), pero después de usarlo por varios meses, puedo constatar que su construcción es robusta y adecuada.

En resumen, recomiendo completamente este producto: es un gran complemento para cualquier cocina (incluso comercial); seguramente los demás artículos que vende la marca Cuisinart deben ser de buena calidad, tal como éste.

adam mcdaniel: Simply the best bang for the buck. Forget about all the reviews saying to stay away from it because of the recall. This has the updated blade and it works great. I did have a chipped plunger when it arrived, but Cuisinart sent a new one free of charge. (I had the option to send the product back to amazon or simply have Cuisinart deliver a new one.) Cuisinart's Customer Service was great and shipped it to my door in two days. This has been the go to option for both professional and home chefs for years, and it will be for years to come.

Lorraine Jones: Because of the French macarons, I finally took the plunge and bought a food processor. I saw a review of the Cuisinart DFP-14NRY Custom 14 Food Processor by America's Test Kitchen and that was what swayed me to go with this food processor. At first I was going to buy a smaller version that was also rated #1 by ATK, but my hubby convinced me to get the 14-cup instead, and I am SO glad I listened to him. I have not owned a real food processor before (I've only been using a small ninja with a top motor and I also have a Vitamix) but I can say that this food processor works like a dream! It runs so smoothly and quietly. It pulverizes almond flour in a few seconds. I have made several batches of French macarons right after I received the food processor and was loving it. The processor came with 3 blades and so far I have used only the shredder one to process zucchini squash. I am in love with this food processor, and I love that the red color is only used as accents rather than color the whole base with red. It looks beautiful on my granite counter top!

Mark M in Seattle: Very well constructed and just does-the-job! We regularly use it a few times a week and it works great. It's single speed and at first I thought that would be a problem but it's not. You don't need more than one speed. The blade attachment is all we use and it's great. Easy to clean too. The red and stainless looks awesome too. :-) If you're an experienced cook looking for a food processor without any frills that just works, this is your baby. Buy her and you'll smile every time you glance across the kitchen and see this red beauty.
