MM: I decided to finally upgrade my workhorse Oster rice cooker. There was nothing wrong with it, would probably last another lifetime.

I bought the Cuckoo because there was a sale and that was enough justification for me to try one of these new rice cookers similar to a Zojirushi but at a better price.
Instructions were easy to follow, and for those like me who just need to cook plain jasmine white rice, it pretty much defaults to that and just need to click one button and it starts.

The nice this I also like about this is that i can unplug the rice cooker and it keeps it warm for a long enough period of time. This could be sometimes bad too if I'm trying to cool down the rice prior to putting leftovers in the refidgerator.

Eventually I'll try the other modes.

Momanda: Only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the directions are a tad bit confusing. I tried several times to program the clock and it just would not work so I gave up…not a big deal because I don’t really need a clock on my rice cooker but it was enough of a frustration that it knocked off a star for me. Overall, it’s a very good rice cooker and I’m pleased with the display. Previous rice cookers I owned would sometimes fail to cook rice because the pot was not pushed down far enough or the sensor wasn’t triggered just right, so I’d wait 30-40 mins only to find uncooked rice—super frustrating problem. This rice cooker tells you if the sensor has been triggered or not so there’s guessing and I love that feature!

Javier Salazar: Las instrucciones vienen en ingles, pero después que aprendes a usarla facilita mucho el preparar un arroz, la olla se encarga de todo y siempre queda en su punto y lo mantendrá caliente, además, tiene varios tiempos y atajos para preparar arroz integral, algunos granos y mas recetas por probar, pero hasta ahora funciona correctamente.

Alvin: My family have always brought Tiger brand rice cooker from Japan which lasted 10-15 years but after these new style of space pod like cookers came out, the Tiger brand from Costco, it would always go bad due to a lack of ventilation and condensation after the second day. I have no idea why the new models does not have a water collecting cup like the previous tiger brand but alas, it was returned. I have heard of cuckoo brand from watching my favorite streamer on Twitch when she did a cooking stream and thus, the person who owns it is a chef. I decided to jump the gun and buy one. Out of of the box, it does look like the newer style pods one however, it has a water collecting cup! This means that the rice will stay good for a week! Sure enough, after cooking it, the rice came out perfect and stayed the same throughout the week! After reading the manual, I activated the "turn off" during night time, but "reheat" again starting at 4am and that further preserves the rice! I have no idea how South Korea manufactures rice cookers but this is the Cadillac of all rice cookers! I will never go back to another brand!

Benjamín Manzanilla Calvo: Si lo que buscas es una arrocera de mucha calidad a bajo precio esta es una gran opción. Marca coreana hecha en Corea. El arroz queda súper bien y es fácil de hacer, claro que no se debe comparar con el estilo mexicano o un con cualquier arroz frito o mas Elaborado.

Wayner: Have used it for a couple of years now and it's still working great. A little bit more money than some but is quite versatile. Bit of a learning curve if you're looking to use it for all the stuff that it's capable of but we mostly just cook rice with it and it comes out perfect every time. Also, the pot is of a heavy guage metal, very solid and easy to clean. We bought another one this year as a Christmas gift.

BurnishedBee: I've had other (cheap) rice cookers that would struggle with brown or multigrain rice, or overflow, etc. This has given me perfect rice every time. I have no complaints. It's easy to use, the results are great, it's easy to clean and he manual is informative (if repetitive). Highly recommend this one!
