K: Okay, so I’ll start off with the negative reviews. I don’t want to be offensive, but they didn’t use the epoxy properly… even those who assure you they did. I have used dozens of epoxies but I have been a loyal customer every since using this stuff. If you’ve never used epoxy please study up and do a sample piece first so you see how this stuff works. Also, have a heat gun! The bubbles are not an issue if you use a heat gun they’re gone! Next, I have ordered this stuff A LOT! I’ve remodeled my entire house and all countertops are created with epoxy. Last night I got my first disappointing order. the epoxy came completely mispackaged and this stuff was EVERYWHERE! it had never come packaged this way before so I was shocked. Turns out UPS not only damaged my product, they unboxed it, bagged it, reboxed it and delivered a horrible mess to my porch. But guess what? In no time I had a response from customer service who has already sent a replacement order.

This IS the best epoxy and best epoxy company in the world. I will continue to purchase super clear and will only purchase superclear.

100 stars if it were possible.

The BookieThe Bookie: I originally chose Superclear Tabletop for my countertop project because it has outstanding reviews, a long history of excellence, and the item description includes "countertops" and color mixing as a usage. Hindsight says, I shouldn't have. Murphy's law has dogged this project every step of the way and I just bought my 3rd kit for the one project. 🙃 Ugh. But I actually do like this product, I just didn't fully understand it and its limitations early on.

Here's what I learned that I wish I had known initially:
*Low viscosity: very very thick. If you have lots of colors you are trying to add to a large surface, good luck. Dirty pours do not like to self level unless you have tons of helpers to get those colors mixed super fast.
* Highly reactive: we followed the manufacturers instructions to a T. Or so we thought. They didn't have the youtube vid up for the first pour, about slowly hand mixing the product at the time, so we used a drill paddle. Bad. BadbadbadbadBAD. Don't do that. Use a stir stick and go S.L.O.W.

And when they say, no more than 1/2 gallon at a time. They mean, don't even approach a 1/2 gallon at once. On attempt #2 when we switched to 1Litre...

melisamelisa: Ive used the superclear table top epoxy a couple times now and its always performed great. Its super clear and durable. After using another brand (squid) and having bad experience, and even worst customer service. Will be buying more. Shipped to canada from florida in a week which is excellent as im isolated in Labrador.

joshjosh: Epoxy worked well from the other ones that were intact. Bought 3. Received the epoxy with intention to pour counter top. Had some unforeseen issues and had to move the pour 3-4 months later. I didn’t realize one the epoxy bottle had a minute leak. Since I past the one month warranty they wouldn’t honor sending me new one, and had to clean up the sticky mess left behind. I think the epoxy was fine as product though. If you purchase inspect the bottles, and re inspect 3 weeks later to make sure so you don’t end up wasting $180 dollars.

kimberleykimberley: I did a dirty pour on a bar top. Rainbow colours. It turned out awesome. I’m going to redo because I am not quite happy with the design I chose . But the epoxy works well. Mixes well. . It’s still drying but so far so good beautiful finish. I used mica powder and epoxy glitter to ensure I wouldn’t have any screw ups. Gotta be fairly quick. Super happy, I ordered another two gallons! Edited to add pic of the first pour, and to say the final set was stunning in the light. I still have not done the redo but I will edit as soon as it’s finished.
