Crownful Countertop Ice Maker: Make 24 Clear Ice Cubes in Just 13 Minutes - 40LBS/24H Capacity

Netcub: Working well. My house is hot, because I rarely use AC, and this icemaker produces the first batch in about 30 minutes, and additional batches take 20 minutes. I have the machine set at +1 which thickens the ice a little bit, but it's fine to just use the default setting. The machine is very quiet, and you don't really hear it running. It does make a fairly loud noise when the ice drops. You do have to break the ice up, which is easy enough to do, and only take a few seconds. I place the ice in quart sized bags, and it does stick together when frozen, but comes apart easily just by tapping it on the counter a few times. I've been using reverse osmosis water, and the ice is 100% clear and delicious. It does seem to last longer than other types of ice, and doesn't water down my drinks as much. I also own an Opal Nugget machine, which is also nice, but it tends to melt very quickly, and waters down the drinks in a very short time. I was concerned about the longevity of these types of machines, so I was sure to register it with the company, and also purchased an extended warranty through a 3rd party on Amazon. Karlarin: I take my time for test very well and be sure about this review, already 3 months using it.
Previously I had another ice machine, this one had ready the ice 2 minutes faster but it was watery, and if I used it immediately it melted quickly so I had to freeze it first for a couple of hours for solidify them.

I have been trusting this Crownful brand for the last year because their appliances show robustness in their materials and comparing in quality to other recognized brands for years.
This Ice Machine is easy to use, just fill with water and wait for the ice! (Take about 1 gallon of water) I use only filtered water and I feel sure my machine not fail for using unfiltered water due to the residues it may leave over time.
Makes 24 cubes in an ideal size and in a few minutes (about 15 min.) It is dense and can be adjusted to the liking of each person from the default preset. The cube is still a bit larger than other ice machines I used before.
Filling the water capacity completely, you can do between 4 and 5 ice cycles, a little more than 100 cubes in 1 hour, which is perfect for my use in celebrations because you dont need filling and filling with water again!...

ShmattyShmatty: It's a really novel machine that I thought would be useful to us because we don't have an icemaker at our church. It's also been relatively hot, upwards of 85 degrees some days this past week, so I did notice that the first ice cubes would take longer to make based on the ambient temperature, As promised it did not take longer than 30 minutes. It took perhaps exactly 30 minutes, with each subsequent batch taking about 20 minutes. I did not expect the ice cubes to be "wet" as I am used to a freezer-type icemaker, and I noticed that if left running for a while, the ice cubes would start to melt after the basket was full.

All of this I think is understandable given that it has a plastic lid which does not provide much insulation from the exterior heat. The promise of 40lbs of ice over 24 hrs is a tad misleading because it would require someone to be regularly emptying the basket and refilling the reservoir. (Who has time for that?) But all in all, I appreciate the convenience of the machine. One basket could refill perhaps two 32 oz water bottles to the brim which is perfect for two people, but not the best for a family of 5.
