HelloShmello: Initially bought to automate my outdoor lights when we went on an extended vacation. But kept (and even bought more) because of how easy it is to use.
I use the Sunset-Sunrise automated setting - where my outdoor lights turn on at that day’s scheduled sunset and turn on at the scheduled sunrise.
I love that it’s not a consistent time and I no longer have to think about turning on/off my outdoor lights.
Also, the brightness of this light is perfect. Super white bright. At first I thought it was too much so I changed it to a warmer color, but then changed it back to the bright white light.
Things I love about the app:
- it’s FREE
- you can create cycles to turn on/off your lights based on certain criteria
- you can change color/brightness of light
- you can manage all the Cree lights in one place
- so easy to connect to the lights and name them

Pete MPete M: The first thing to note is that the setup on these lights is super easy. I’ve dealt with other smart lights where getting it to pick up the light to register is really annoying - these just instantly got picked up when I plugged them in and was able to register them. The app even has a nifty feature where it shows the physical direction the light is relative to me when I’m registering it.
Secondly I’ll note that these are superrr bright. Like, really bright. Fortunately they are very adjustable and it’s easy to do from the app. I happen to use Alexa to manage my home automation and the Alexa app also lets me adjust the brightness / color of these lights, which is nice. The lights have a great range of brightness - I actually use 1% for my outdoor light and it’s bright enough, but if you want to use these as a security light they’d also be great as well as for a porch light like I use it.
Thirdly, they have a pretty great range of colors. Usually I just keep them on soft white, but for things like Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July, etc - you can really jazz up the place!

javier murillo: Batalle un poco para configurarlo pero al final quedo muy bien integrado con alexa
En modo color la iluminación es baja, para decoración.
Si se desea iluminar bien tiene q ser con luz clara.

Christine from Philly: I followed the directions to install these with their app and everything worked fine, but then when I tried to link it with Alexa I couldn't because it wanted me to do a fresh install of the Smart Life app, which I already use for other brands of bulbs. So, I had to do everything all over again through my existing Smart Life app and Alexa saw the bulb right away and I was able to program the routines I wanted. So, if you already have Smart Life installed, just screw in these light bulb, wait for it to flash and in Smart Life click the "+" and select "Auto" and the process with be super-smooth.
The colors are not very bright, but I like them that way. Using Alexa routines, I have it set to be a subtle accent color but when my Ring motion detector detects movement in the driveway (which I have it set up to announce cars and display video using Alexa), these lights go onto bright daylight until there's no motion for 3 minutes and then they go back to the accent color. Easy-peasy. This way, I have cheap $15 spotlight fixtures, a motion sensor already in use for Ring, and Alexa routines all combined to create a great new function I wouldn't get otherwise. It has been working...

Az: I am pleasantly surprised with how solid this light performs. Despite having few (if any) reviews, the app was surprisingly good, organized and easy to use with lots of features. Setup was fairly smooth. App allows for sharing with multiple accounts, automations, scenes and a "follow the sun" feature that adjusts on a highly specific and customizable schedule. The colors are solid.. nothing amazing. Whites are great! Dims smoothly and responds immediately to the app. And, no buzzing or high pitched noises!
I will say that the way the bulb itself looks when the colors are being used is not the best. There are three separate bulbs inside that emit color (whites are separate) and when looking at the bulbs, you can see these three distinctly which gives a cheap look.
Admittedly, I don't yet know all the ins and outs of how this will function over time. For example, how does it behave turning on and off the switch, does it have odd drop outs or disconnects, how will it behave after power returns from an outage, does it reconnect to internet easily, can you control via bluetooth if internet is down, how well do the color perform outdoors?
Hopefully more reviews will...

Sharon R.: I replaced a dusk/dawn light on my front porch with this for Halloween. It was very cool because you could set different color combinations that would run in a sequence and sort of a timer for it and all those fun things. But it wasn't very bright so you couldn't see my house number very well. Which meant after the holidays going back in the box until next time.
