Laura8787: My son makes lego stop motion clips and I'm sure he knows a lot but he doesn't have any books. I bought this as it was the only lego atop motion book I could find. He is 15 years old. He seems happy with the book and thinks there maybe some things in there he will be able to get some more information on but he hasn't read it properly yet

Bookbug: I bought this for my 11yr old son who is a LEGO addict and has now discovered stop-motion filming.
He absolutely loves this book. He read it and told me excitedly that it helped him sort out a number of things he had gotten all wrong and gave him a lot of tips for a more professional end result. I saw the result and it is true.
It seems I scored big time with this book!

Elle N.: My son was given this for Christmas, along with an Amazon Fire tablet from Santa. It sparked quite an interest, and several hours and hundreds of photos later, he created a 5 min film that was very fun and entertaining to watch! This book gave him the foundation that he needed to learn stop motion and allowed him to apply the basics to his very own lego movie. A great tool to have along with a tablet device for kids who complain often they are bored!

S. Csornok: My son has been obsessed with Legos since he was 3. He’s now 13 and is thrilled to start making his own movies! This book concentrates more on the movie concepts then mechanics. We bought this book along with the Klutz Lego “make your own movie kit,” which focuses more on mechanics. The two together give you pretty much all the information you need.
My son is now 13 and is doing a Lego movie for his Social Studies class to demonstrate his ideas on how Canada can best move their oil sands supply via pipeline through the US to the Gulf of Mexico. Incredible.

It gives you other tricks of the trade like how to organize your work space (tools needed), how to build additional props (step-by-step using spare parts you probably have lying around if you have lots of Legos), how to build one-room sets, and how to capture feelings and emotions with your characters using gestures and changing heads that have different facial expressions. It is paperback and 205 pages.
