Gail Posey: I ran out of thin, round, elastic, so several masks were waiting for elastic ear pieces. This particular kind of elastic is not strong enough to hurt your ears, at least not for several hours, which is as long as I have tested it. I cut the elastic probably twice as long as necessary and it can be tied to the right length to fit. (I have retied them several times, but it isn't always possible if the knot can't be untied.)
This spool looked like it was the same as what I used to have, and it was, so I'm happy with my purchase. The elastic is small enough to fit into a tapestry needle, and maybe a sewing needle if the eye is large enough.
I bought white, even though the colors were tempting.

Deborah Cross: This product was very thin elastic cording, very stiff and irritating to the skin behind the ears. I even washed and dried the cording but did not soften the cording at all.Bought it to use for non medical masks.
What a waste of money!!!

janet e.: this is too thin for masks. I braided three strands and it worked. A better use is for jewelry making: Bracelets, necklace or other projects than thin stretch is used. It's a sturdy elastic for the right use.

ChadChad: DO NOT BUY FOR MASKS!!! Defintely not what I thought. Very very small and thin. Their picture makes it look like a decent size roll. As you can see next to a soda can it's very small. I wanted to use these elastics to replace my mask earloops. As you can see there is a significant difference in size! This elastic is thinner than a tip off a #2 pencil.
Overall the Product isn't bad but not what I expected at all.
Better pictures for what actual product looks like would be better!

Tank Girl: This is much more like 0.6mm than 1mm! It’ll do the job, making earloops for masks, but it’s definitely thin so will have to be careful about length to stop it cutting in. Won’t be purchasing again.
