JordanJordan: I’m certainly no stranger to dying clothes, and I’ve done so with success many times. I decided to try this brand because I was looking for this particular shade. I followed the instructions perfectly- warm water, diluted dye, stirring constantly. I had an adorable baby pink wrap sweater that I loved and wanted to take a few shades warmer. Everything went perfectly and I achieved my desired shade in about 30 minutes- and then I pulled it out to reveal a HUGE bright YELLOW stain on one sleeve. Like I said, i had ensured the dye was properly diluted, the garment was clean, and I was stirring constantly. I tried again with another garment- a thin pair of polyester trousers. I made CERTAIN this time that the dye pot had no issues. THE SAME THING HAPPENED- a big stain ruining the pants. I’m not sure if i got a bad batch of dye, but I certainly won’t be buying this brand again. Two garments were effectively ruined.

annabelle lever: je l'ai utiliser dans la machine à laver pour des pantalons blancs. Le couleur est vraiment joli; et plus attirant que sur la bouteille, même. Je ne peux pas enlever le tiror dans ma machine...alors j'ai mis la teinture et avec l'eau, le sel etc (voir les instructions RIT) au fond de la machine directement, et puis j'ai mis les pantalons et commencé le cycle. La qualité RIT est excellent; les couleurs toujours si jolis. Après j'ai utilisé un peu de fixative RIT....
et très content avec ce vendeur: arrivé du produit vite, bien fermé (comparé aux quelques vendeurs qui utilisent un peu du produit avant de le revendre!!!).

Judith (Maxwell) Carrell: Worked immediately on a synthetic wig while following. Directions on bottle were unreadable because they are so tiny. But I was able to find directions on their website for how to use this product. Unfortunately, the wig ended up looking like something the cat dragged in. Not the fault of this dye. The color was an orange-ish brown and is not an appealing color for any application I can think of. But the dye did work and very quickly.

STW: Good to great results with three colors, so far, with Rit Dyemore. Contains an effective acid dye because it dyes nylon well with rich deep color (regular Rit Dye also contains an acid dye and will dye nylon but this is much better choice if you are dyeing nylon). On the first use of Dyemore I did not add vinegar, as usually required for use with acid dyes, whether dying nylon or wool or other animal fiber. The Dyemore package instructions said adding vinegar (or other mild acid) was not necessary with Dyemore, but weak color results say otherwise. Later I repeated with the same Dyemore color except adding the usual vinegar this time, and results were much better--rich saturated color.
Cannot say that it dyes polyester effectively; my longest period in the pot at heat was 45 min. A couple of the nylon fabrics I've dyed are one third blend polyester and it looks to me the interwoven polyester fabric strands did not dye. Neither did the sewn threads or pocket linings or other polyester parts. Color altered a little for polyester but I have not seen it works as an effective polyester dye at 45 min. or under even at heat (180-210 f). Polyester is notably difficult...
