Get the job done quickly and easily with the Corona Compound Action Anvil Lopper!Bev Jory: I live on 14 acres so you can just imagine the amount of work there is to be done. I had a previous trimmer, exactly the same and it lasted 14 years! I only wish it had an odometer on it to measure the amount of miles this tool has travelled. I was thrilled when I saw that Corona was still making the same trimmer. I highly recommend this and would stake my life on it. That is how confident I am in it's performance and life expectancy. the skinny guy: I researched MANY different loppers and cutters. Glad I bought these. They’re strong, easy to use, and durable. Best for the price. Why put up with ratchet loppers? They take too long for each and every cut. These get the job done faster, and they work well on branches up to 2" thick. Easy! A solid bite and sharp blade does the job!

SAM: The first Corona FL 3420 I bought lasted approximately 15 years on our well treed acreage. My large armed son finally broke the blade taking on a 2” dead branch on an ash tree. I seen they still make the exact same model so instantly ordered a replacement, the original worked so well I didn’t have to look at other offerings.

SkyBird: What a great anvil pruner. Very strong and capable of cutting through BIG limbs.
I used this pruner for six years. You could also say I abused it for six years asking it to cut any limb I could get its jaws around. The clipper blade finally snapped (after six years of HEAVY DUTY use) and I emailed Corona for a replacement. They responded within two hours and had a free replacement blade in the mail same day. I was unsure if I should ask for a new blade since I was really going to town on a dead limb and probably pushing the tool beyond what it was designed to do. To ease my guilt I just ordered a second pruner to have a spare on hand. This is a company I want to support! If you need a big pruner the Corona FL 3420 deserves your consideration.

dbmies: The media could not be loaded. I have 800+ citrus trees and spend a good deal of time pruning. These loppers punch above their weight, are professional grade and stand up to hard use When used properly they will make thousands of cuts with ease. With anvil loppers you must cut perpendicularly through the branch rather than diagonally as one would do with bypass loppers.
The big benefit to anvil style is that one can cut suckers up against the trunk.
The blade is very strong - I have never bent a blade as some reviews show, but then I only cut wood with them. The blade does however cut a groove into the anvil surface over time which allows the handles to close tighter together vs when new and your knuckles may bang together.
I noticed corona sells replacement anvils for around $15 - have not tried those yet as the tool is reasonably priced new.
I recommend thread lock on the two anvil bolts because I have had them loosen.
I am very satisfied with these loppers. I have bought four sets of these over the past 25+ years. The quality has been consistent. Well worth the price.

Ruby: I was really pleased with the prompt replacement, free of any charges! And for the price you can't go wrong, works wonderfully and would never ever buy a bypass shear, why..only one knife does the job, the push down onto the anvil gives the knife a even vertical force, [not side ways] like you have on bypass shears. This type of cutting will keep your knife blade allot longer sharp because no sideways rubbing against other cutting edge is applied. I ordered another one because I do ALLOT of pruning and to make sure it will be around for a long time and I can interchange things if needed.
The only drawback is the cheap flimsy foam sleeve handle, it doesn't hold, what I did, push it ahead and applied some automotive goop on the fiberglass handle and pushed back. I was hoping that on the second one I bought over a year later that they would have improved on that cheap sleeve but they didn't, in fact one foam sleeve was already torn on the end several inches.

Amazon Customer: This is my second pair, I bought a pair about 35 years ago and the blade broke the other day. Not many products these days last 35 years . I'm so glade I was able to find a pair identical to the one I had. Awesome tool you'll be glad you bought a corona

handsonguy: I bought this to replace the same model I had for 25 years. Used the daylights out of it. Fantastic product. The fiberglass handles finally started to shatter. This replacement was purchased with trepidation because the original was so good. These days it's hard to get the same quality and performance as before. The item I received is slightly different. It was as shown in the product picture. The manufacturer changed the design. Handles remain apart at an angle when the blade is against the anvil. Not sure why. Maybe to better protect hands from hitting each other during use. The new design takes up more space to store and the handles get caught more in branches in tight spaces making it more difficult to use. Also, the foam handles have nothing to keep them in place. They slide up the and are basically a pain in the u know what. The foam on the original stayed in place much better but to be fair, I only had one left and the other was half-size from use. Both black end caps were also gone. As I said, I used it hard. The replacement performs cutting as well as the first. Cuts through 2" dried hardwood with relative ease. That's what you really want anyway. Price was very...

K. Franzese: Somewhat heavy to use for extended period. Must widely separate handles to start cut.
