gary: Thought I would brush up a little on the Bible and it is good for that. The grammar dips a little at times, think that may be because of it being American and of it trying to simplify the original wording? Worth a read though and good value.

Trevor: At 47 and dyslexic, i have decided to start reading, and the first book I wanted to read was the bible. I'm not a believer but I am curious and have an attitude of never say never. I found this book easy to read which is what I was looking for. It gives enough for basic background which has left me with lots of questions. I'm now keen to reading another book....same subject, just with a little more meat on the bones

rugsgranny: Maybe I expected too much from this book, but I didn’t find it useful at all. It doesn’t summarise all the books of the Bible, and is written ( in my opinion) for primary school children , not teens and adults.

MCS: This is a very well-written book about the Bible. It is easy reading and easy to understand. At age 74, I've had a problem comprehending what I'm reading. I've got several Bibles at home, but even after reading the same passage several times, I still couldn't grasp the content or meaning. I am so glad I found this wonderful book. The translations are well presented and are easily understood. GREAT reading and glorious book!! I highly recommend it for teenagers and adults. Thank You!

Panthergriffin: Easy read. I'm not religious just have a rating curiosity in everything. Being tried to read the bible out of curiosity gave up as seemed like foreign language and hard to interpret meaning. This satisfied my curiosity and provides some insights into the mystery of the meaning of bible texts in a more readable fashion.
