After struggling with a cheap HP inkjet printer (36$ student printer), decided it was time for an upgrade and also a laser one. Found this printer for $175 black friday sale. Also found HP laser ones but seemed like they all used the HP smart interface which I had so many problems with. Brother had the better reviews and better sale. Delivery took a few days , setup and install took about 25 mins. The online videos were helpful, as there were some nuances. The very first page I printed from my iPhone brother iprintscan app came out nice and crisp and I scanned the same page which was flawless. So far I am impressed.

This is a top quality printer - You feel the build quality, the printing quality is excellent for home use or business use. I saw many comments citing that it's difficult to install which is not the case at all. Just some common sense, use Youtube videos and you are good.

I have made this mistake before. The set up on this thing is a pain. It feels like T9 texting to set up any facet of the machine. Just get the model with the touch screen instead of this one. This one works great but I should have gone 1 model better. I hate the rudimentary controls.

Ordered this for a small office. Small for what you get! Easy setup. Been in use for a week so far and seems fine. We like that you can connect it with a printer cable, which is what we did as the WiFi is spotty in that location and previous wifi only printers kept disconnecting. So pretty happy with this so far.

Love this Brother printer. Moved to this from HP as they wouldn't allow me to use generic toners and will definitely buy a Brother again. No issues at all setting up - read many reviews of people having issues - I had none at all and I'm not tech savvy - just watched the video and done. haven't worked out how to scan yet but that's next.

I haven't had this printer for too long, but so far, it works pretty good. I have suffered at the hands of cheap inkjet printers from HP for years and was sick and tired of paying ridiculous prices for the stupid tiny ink cartridges that were prone to dry out and quit working if you didn't use them for months.
