Megan: I'm a huge fan and advocate for 3M strips. I have these in several places in my house. They are used to hang at least over half of my wall art and I use them in my closets to hang hooks for hats, belts and purses. I recommend these to all my friends!

M P Ruse: Bought all sorts of 3m command strips over the years. These ones are particularly useful for holding Philips hue light strip cable. Not cheap but the things do stick which is more than can be said of the sticky stuff supplied with the light strips.

Tired mom of two: I recently bought a pendant lamp and needed something to gently attach the cord to the wall, so that the power cord did not end up hanging down and being at risk of getting knocked down. I tried another type of self-adhesive hook similar to this one and while they looked better than these, they only stayed up for about two or three days before suddenly falling, despite not having the kind of pooling or pressure that you would expect to pull something off the wall. Bummed out, I decided to try to these hooks. They have worked out great, they were roughly the perfect size and after at least a couple of weeks, they have still not dropped the pendant light on my head.

mbmb: These are fantastic. I've used Command hooks for years. Great in the shower to hanging stuff (make sure wall is dry and wait overnight to use shower or put weight on hooks). I've put Christmas wreaths on my front doors when I didn't want to damage the fresh paint. Installed path for Christmas lights (inside). Place to hang kitchen towels. Etc.

These I ordered specifically for use in rental cars for my cell phone car-charger cord. I want to use my phone for Google maps and must keep it where I can see it at a glance, up against the front panel (whatever it is called directly behind the steering wheel is called). The car charger has a coil cord, which meant the phone kept falling because of the tension. Now I pack one of these hooks when I travel so I can rig myself a setup like the kind I have on my car at home. Easy to remove when I return the car; no damage. When stickers are gone, just buy more of them; no need to buy the complete package.

traveller: I bought a package of these hooks in October 2011 and received clear hooks; re-ordering in July 2012 I received white hooks. This is a little annoying so I wanted to mention it in case color[lessness] is important to others.

Otherwise we have been very happy with these hooks: we use two at a time to create a method to safely wind blind cords - it's a cheap and effective way of childproofing corded blinds and these hooks are relatively unobtrusive. The odd hook has come off after being repeatedly knocked when raising and lowering heavy wooden blinds, but I would consider that normal wear and tear. The strips are sometimes a little annoying to remove but generally do come off relatively easily.

The hooks are tiny; product dimensions don't appear in the description, but the mount for each hook is approximately 1 inch high by 3/4 inch wide and the hook itself is about 1/2 inch high, and provides about 1/4 inch of horizontal depth relative to the mount. Perfect for our purpose of winding blind cords, but as others have commented not much use for anything bigger than a set of keys or a few strands of chain, etc.
