PasoCreekPasoCreek: I love this and use it every day as a tote in my vehicles. Has been pulled yanked and tossed around from seat to seat in an SUV to a large farm truck. Carry it with me to grocery shop and it's like a purse with all my necessary contents inside. The drawstring has never failed. I have had this all summer. A nice lightweight synthetic fabric that does not snag or rip. 5 stars all the way.

CNH: We are a family of 8 with 6 kids ranging from 5 to 13. We are camping, athletic, swimming, school, girl scouts, church . . . there are many reasons for us to use drawsting bags and barely a day will go by that we don't use one or more. We are used to not getting a lot of use out of them.
This is easily one of the best made bags we own.
I don't particularly care for the large Columbia labeling, but that is my only criticism. The fabric has a windbreaker type feel but is actually polyester. The bottom is a thicker reinforced fabric so there is no chance it will rip out the bottom like many of our other bags. The rope straps are thick and doubled with a metal grommet at the bottom so no chance that the straps will pull out. Cinch top allows you to close it tightly and the holes are reinforced so will not pull out. It seems that all the fail points in prior bags have been addressed with this bag.
For being a simple cinch drawstring bag, there is a lot of detail and care to making sure this will last.
I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws or other problems in construction.

Tigerlillian: Wow. As I am perusing the other reviews for this bag, I come across schools not allowing backpacks? Then see across the internet that some have completely outlawed them, then with size limits and some allowing clear bags only. High security measures. Perhaps my rural school district is in a vortex. Backpacks are still allowed, and drawstring bags such as this one from Columbia.

My son likes this style for his gym bags. Easy access, low profile, simple, and just the right size for a pair of shoes, gym clothes and toiletries. It's basic and made mostly of nylon, with a thicker material to reinforce the base. The logo screen print quality is good. The drawstring is durable and seems it will hold up well. It has an exposed loop at the top so you can see the patterned rope, and also grab the bag from the top. More durable than most of this style. He has one from a different brand that has a useful zip-up external wallet/phone sized pocket. This one doesn't.

Great basic bag which will be put to good use.
