Colorado Hearts, Book 3: Heart of Mine

Jjspina: Heart of Mine is the third book in the Colorado Hearts series. This series is based on the five Brinkman sisters who travel back home to Eden Colorado after being estranged from their father to take over his legacy after his death. They are given the ultimatum to inherit all that is his in Eden Colorado if they stay for six months.

The series centers on one sister in each book, how she adjusts to her new home, takes over a business, and discovers love. This book is about Emma Brinkman who has lost at love and almost gives up believing that she will ever find a man who will love her again.

When Emma meets a new man who has come to work her father’s mine she is drawn to him and he to her. What she doesn’t realize is that he is not who he says he is and his secrets could affect not only him but Emma too if she dares to fall for him.

This is an enjoyable series that continues in Book 4.

barbara jones: I truly loved this book. I was sad to see it end. I want to know how Emma fares in England and how Katie finds a new love. I hope hope hope she doesn't return to Santiago or whatever his name is. He doesn't deserve her.

The story has brought the five Brinkman sisters back to Eden, Colorado, where they were born, from their home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They must all agree to spend six months in Eden to inherit according to the will left by their father, John Brinkman.

The story encompasses all five of the sisters, but this one will mainly focus on Emma. Traveling to Santa Fe to return a child, Brenda, to the orphanage for adoption will be hard on Emma. While in Santa Fe, Blake, Belle, and Emma will meet with a man, Beranger North, about assessing their mine and determining if there is any hope of it becoming active and producing gold or silver.

The story will have Emma shopping for her shop she inherited from her father, and then deciding to take the stagecoach back home, a three-day journey to Eden, Colorado. She will be the last to board the coach, and none other than Beranger North will be onboard. She has less than an admirable opinion of him, but that will improve along the journey.

Emma travels by stage coach on her return trip home, when she enters the stage coach she can’t believe her eyes, Baranger North has already been entered and it’s too late for her to get off the stage coach. They travel for three days together, along with a young man, another strange man and some ladies that are Sisters. Will she let her heart find love or keep it in denial.

This story has some hurt, sadness, betrayal, laugher, surprises and must must more.
