Coleman Ultra Compact Aluminum Outdoor Folding Camping Table

Hailey: This small table is amazing. Set-up can be slightly tricky the first time but after that you can build it within 5 minutes. Easy to clean and store. Love that it comes in a sturdy travel bag as well. Great for camping, grilling, tailgates, you name it. I would not use this as a family sitting table though. If you plan on using it for sit-down meals while camping, I'd say it fits two people with all the food perfectly without being crowded.

🌴 Tropical Panda 🌴: This is THE most perfect camping table.

PROS

- Lightweight.
- So simple & fast to put together that a child could do it. Once you know how, you can get it up in less than 30 seconds.
- Sturdy when properly constructed.
- Comes in its own zippered carrying bag about the size of a camp chair.
- Perfect height & size for the Coleman two-burner camp stove with a small bottle of propane on the side.
- Easy to clean and wipe down.

CONS

- The only downside I can find is that if you need to pick up the table and move it, you can only grab it by the two "bar ends" because the rest of the slats are just resting on the frame.

OVERALL

Coleman is a brand I know I can trust for not only good quality but good value. This table is so smartly designed, and such good quality for the price, that I'm considering getting a second one.

Brian: So there was that one year where sales weren't so great, and the Coleman engineering group found out they weren't getting those bonuses. This was unfortunately the same day they were asked to design a new portable folding table for camping, and this absolute pain of a thing was born out of pure spite for their employer. That's probably not true, but it makes me feel better about me wasting $26.

Want to know why it's down to $26 now? Because it's an absolute joke of a portable table. Let's ask ourselves what a portable folding table should be, shall we?

1. Absolute minimum parts. We've almost mastered entire 10x10 collapsible tent shelters to only a single collapsible frame with a cover, and you can set one of those up faster than this table. Not only is it 4 parts (frame, 2 support bars for the table, and the tabletop which needs support bars because without them it's an aluminum accordion strung together with rubber bands). So, we've failed step 1 right out of the gate.

2. Stable - Mildly at best. The frame is collapsible in that between each leg are 2 aluminum crossmembers pinned in the middle allowing them to to all fold together. However, these...

Birdie: It is slick. Took 2 minutes to put together. I needed something to put hot food items on around the campfire while cooking. Nice aluminum top so don't have to worry about it melting. (But I will still use hot pads when I take something off the fire.) Very sturdy. I would not hesitate to put a couple cast iron skillets on top of it. Comes with a nice carry bag. I can see where the end caps might come out like another review I read. I might go ahead and glue those (underneath) ahead of time before I use it to prevent that. Overall, it's exactly what I was looking for. I have another table that was 15 dollars cheaper that is much less sturdy and definitely could not be used to put anything hot on. I'm sure this is going to work out very nicely. When I purchased this, it was 50 dollars with a 6 dollar coupon so I paid 44 bucks plus tax. Reasonable. Very Happy.

Francisco Landaeta: Its a 5 star product except for the plastic inserts that come at the end of each aluminum bar, they come off easily so you end up with a hollow and shallow table end that will cut you in no time, you can always glue the inserts which is what we did and problem solved but it shouldn’t require that. Besides that issue its light, easy to assemble, sturdy and stands well to scratches.

Bitwave: Bought this one from the Amazon Warehouse said it was in good condition with some light cosmetic damage on the bottom. Other than it missing the factory box it looks new to me and I am very happy with the purchase. I assembled this in my living room and it is about the size of a small card table, it assembles very easily and is very sturdy once it all together. I own several Coleman products some 40+ years old I purchased when I was a teenager and always have been happy with all of it. Looking forward to trying this out on a remote camping trip on a lake only accessible by boat. It rolls up into a nice compact carry bag roughly the size of a small camping chair. It is not something you would want to carry on a pack however if you are getting dropped off or boating to a remote place it is great for that. I am very happy with the purchase and got a few bucks off from an already great price.

Amazon Customer: La mesa me encanta, llevo unos 4 años usándola, es relativamente compacta y ligera. Mi mayor queja es que con el tiempo se vuelve extradamente difícil desplegar y volver a plegar las patas. Es casi imposible para una sola persona y entre dos cuesta mucho trabajo. Igualmente todas las piezas plásticas vienen solo ajustadas a presión por lo que es muy importante pegarlas correctamente, de lo contrario empiezas a perderlas. Los extremos de las tablillas no tienen tanto problema (ya solo me quedan unos cuantos), pero si llegas a perder los extremos de plástico de los tubos superiores, pierde funcionalidad la mesa.

Fernando Castanon Chalico: Coleman es de entrada una marca reconocida de material para campismo. La mesa tiene buen tamaño tanto en altura como en ancho y largo para colocar diferentes cosas para cocinar o para comer. Plegada es muy portátil y liviana. Aunque existen mesas más ligeras y portátiles, suelen ser muy bajitas y pequeñas. Esta mesa de Coleman me parece que tiene la perfecta relación de tamaño vs portabilidad para que una familia de cuatro use.
