JayConsumer: This is very solid little piece. Well made and the lock is nicely overkilled. The big sheepsfoot works well for those jobs where a utility knife maybe works, or is just too bendy or small. Sharp.
Fab for hand work, like construction or arts n crafts. I used it to cut window film and to score metal siding to mark for the saw.
The price reflects the difference between cheapness and expense. Thirty bones is not cheap, but affordable assuming you get some use out of it. I’m down with it. Totally. Better steel would be nice, but the cost wouldn’t work then. Still not bad.
The bad- yes, it has 2 flaws- the action is not easy without a flipper, and a flipper is nice for workers, not just gamers sitting at their playstation who like to fidget. With gloves, a flipper can’t be beat. Not a dealbreaker. Another gripe is the lanyard attachment is at the wrong end.
This is a big “DUH”. An obviously untested design.
The lanyard must be on the same end as the clip. Period.
Again, (sigh) a lanyard is for workers, not just people who want to have a pretty tassel hanging on their rarely needed toy. One can grab it with gloves and extract the piece in bad weather without...

Mr. Thomas: Super useful compact little knife that is beefy and holds well in the hand. Picked it up to be a dedicated 'food' knife for backpacking. We've used it multiple times cutting harder cheeses, pepperoni and summer sausage logs to great effect. Easy to use, just enough blade to get the job done without being gigantic and heavy. Impressed overall. Would definitely buy again.

ちなみに、さらに小型のミニ・タフライトも持っています。
一時期は品切れになっていましたが、増産されるほどに人気の商品だったのでしょう。

cold steel社の売却後に、旧型の鋼材AUS8からジャーマンスティールに変更して復刻されているようです。
今回、このページで購入したのは旧型のAUS８製です。
旧型といえど、切れ味良く砥ぎやすい、良いナイフです。
サムホールも使い勝手がいいし、トライアドロックも信頼できる。

ステンレス鋼材ですが、同じAUS８鋼材であるミニタフライトで塩化カルシウムの袋を切った後に放置していたら、錆びました。
過信は禁物ですが、ちょっとした作業で使うのにちょうどよいポケットナイフです。

Peter S: I carried around a sheffield box cutter for a few years working in IT to cut zipties and open packages. Problem was, the blade would break or chip on the zipties, which was a bit dangerous. I also did a lot of 3D printing and wanted something that I could use to shave off the bits of extra material with. Box cutter blades are too weak for that. This knife, with an equally short blade that was legal on my college campus, fit the role so well. I also have huge hands and this knife offers a full-hand grip, unlike a lot of other short-blade knives. Also, the flat blade means it's super easy to clean and sharpen. Also, the profile of the blade means the tip hasn't broken off after a year and there are no sharp corners in your pocket. The lock is solid and easy to disconnect. Also the blade is super thick, so there's zero flex to it when you use it. I'm extremely happy with this knife, and honestly I'll probably just but another one if something ever happens to mine.
