Installing this allows me to keep the switch on and instead use this to run the garbage disposal. So happy!

1 Wild Hare: I have a twenty amp duplex receptacle under my sink, meaning there are two places to plug into. The disposer requires at least ten amps and the dishwasher requires fifteen amps. The previous switch could not handle the load because it blocked part of the receptacle requiring both appliances to be plugged into the switch that was only rated for ten amps, so it overheated. So I bought this one rated for fifteen amps and attached it to the wall and plugged the dishwasher directly into the twenty amp circuit. It has a more positive pressure then the old one.

JenChemistJenChemist: This worked great for me. My current switch for the sink disposal was like 6 feet away and I was done with dripping wet hands across the counters to get there each time I needed it. My sink had a fourth hole pre-drilled in it, so instead of installing a soap dispenser we tried this. Installing it was straightforward and simple.
I was concerned the finish wouldn’t match our new faucet, a brushed stainless Moen faucet. As you can see, it matches very well (and saved me lots of $$ to not buy it from Moen). It uses an air hose to activate, and it came pretty long- I may trim it down in the future but for now it’s loosely tied with twist-ties (be careful to NOT pinch the air hose!)
So far, it’s working great. My only minor complaint is that the o ring between the stem/top section and my sink hole is not very big, it barely fit. It just took some precise positioning and it still worked, but if your sink has a large hole you might need to get a different o-ring for a good seal.
