Rosey: Loved this book. I find it very helpful for my drawing and painting. It shows you how to make your drawing/painting more realistic. I love doing landscapes, and painting them in watercolor. The book goes into detail on how to make trees, bark, moss etc look real. I've struggled with rocks, and this book has shown me step by step how to make them look like real rocks, not blobs of color! If you like realistic painting as I do, buy this book!

I love her books, the artwork is beautiful and Claudia is a good teacher, loads of tips and techniques for various textures. She goes over basics, tools, and materials in all of her books so beginners will benefit from this info'. It has useful info and techniques for improved and not experienced artists too. Beautifully combining water colour and pen and ink.

Amazon Customer: This is a "very helpful text" that covers a broad range of artistic subjects with very helpful instructions that are brief & to the point !! The only reason I did not give it a 5/5 rating was because I look for a higher degree of sophistication & refinement in the illustrations that also illustrate the higher level of author/ artist that compiled the text . That said however it is up to the viewer & artist to take the illustration to the next level having been given the basics . This book is VERY WORTHWHILE as a teaching text for those working on their own or taking classes !
