book-stop shop: I did hours and hours of research trying to find a brand that had the least amount of artificial or harmful ingredients for my elderly sweetheart (22 yr. old male Beagle). This brand seems best and we feed it to him with a little rice and extra veggies mixed in which makes it even better, but it's good all on its own. too! Really appreciate it.

Suzy P.Suzy P.: My 5 month old puppy takes to this food pretty well and he is a picky eater. He would not touch his food even if he is hungry. But he seems to like this one better. Doesn’t go crazy and clean the bowl or anything but he’ll eat 80-90% of it. I’m writing this in tears because I was running out of options and he was beginning to look underweight. It’s also good to know this food doesn’t contain carrageenan which is a risky ingredient. It contains healthier alternatives instead. I’m very glad this one works out. I hope he continues to like this food.
Edit:
I discovered that if I put small chunks of this food into a bowl, pick them up with a fork, and feed them to him one by one he’ll finish everything in under 3 minutes. It’s great because he’s supposed to finish it to receive proper nutrition and be full. He’s got lots of energy now and doesn’t scour under the dining table for crumbs anymore.
One thing that surprised me was how quickly his body adjusted to the new food. I started him on it without mixing any of the old food in. He never got diarrhea or showed signs of stomach upset.

Book Lover: ...so then why the four stars? Well, first, let me say I really appreciate how this company is providing my German Shepherd with quality ingredients. I mix a third of a can with his dry dog food so I don't need to feed him quite so much of this (He'd have to eat 4 cans a day of this alone). Anyway, he loves it. The only reason I deducted a star is the consistency of the content. At times, there appears to be a bit more gravy (liquid) and other cans there's less. I prefer it with a little more gravy because it make mixing it with the dry food easier. Max, my Shepherd, seems to prefer this also.
