Cecile Bulva: To play A CARD game requiring 6 decks of cards per game! I find that often the cards are getting stuck in the side of the shuffler and often defeats the whole purpose of the shuffler. Expected it to be more sturdy and reliable.

Jo-Ann Elke: You have to tape the bottom to have this item work. I think the batteries are loose so it doesn't work 100% of the time.

Guy Bourdages: L'appareil ne mélange pas biens les cartes. J'ai testé en mettant les cartes rouges d'un coté et les cartes noires de l'autre. Je m'attendais à avoir une pile avec les cartes rouges et noires en alternance. Mais en fait, j'avais souvent plusieurs cartes d'une même couleur se suivant.
Donc pas vraiment efficace.

J'ai refait le test avec des cartes neuves et ca fonctionne assez bien. Pas parfait, mais correct.

Amezazon: This is a great product. I noticed some reviews referred to the cards getting stuck, so I thought I'd share how I fixed this. The cards will periodically get stuck or flipped in the shuffling process. Through a little trial and error, I found that it helped a lot to make sure the cards are pushed in on the sides and hold the center of the top of the shuffler while pushing the lever. If you hold down the top for the whole time, it works fine and doesn't flip or jam any cards. There are a couple annoying parts, though. The box didn't have any instructions in it or battery type listed. It was also difficult to get the batteries in correctly. They were a tight fit and at first went in with the spring bending sideways. It took some frustrating trials to get them to go in correctly. Other than that, it was just what I wanted for helping on family game nights when we all get tired of shuffling!

Amazon Customer: This shuffler came quickly and packaged well. We've had several card shufflers and they all seem to use a lot of batteries and have the same (somewhat short) lifespan. But they serve our purpose well! We now need 3 decks of cards for our weekly rummy game so we ordered a 4-deck one. It holds the 3 decks well but I don't think you could fit 4 decks on it. This one also uses C batteries where the smaller ones used AA batteries hoping it would have a little more kick, but we still have to give the cards a nudge now and then to keep it shuffling. No big deal at all! Sure beats shuffling them all by hand each time! We would recommend it and for being around $16.00 we are willing to buy a new one every other year or so.

ridaloke: I play Spite and Malice once or twice a week with Gram. We just guide the bottom cards into the shuffler if one side slows down. We use plastic cards. Sort of mixing them up as we put them on the shuffler. I like this one over the 6 deck version because the middle clear plastic card catcher has no guide tabs and can be slid in and pulled out easily. I recommend keeping cards in top of it at minimum. Maybe enclosed or in a zip lock bag would protect better the grease inside attracts hair and dust and does not let go. Mine is fine. Dads got pretty bad think his cat Flake used it more than he did. It can be pulled apart and cleaned if you like doing that. Was purchasing them at worlds largest gift shop (I'm in Vegas) but last time I was there they had some different ones. One that I have from there has black screws in front not shiny metal feel like it looks better.This one seems to be the same other than that. Been using them for a few years now.

card player: I was an "old school" shopper, but Amazon has won me over with their products, prices, shipping speed, and service. I am writing this because I so much appreciated the reviews of others. I have used a shuffler for years and was looking to buy some as gifts. This is an excellent shuffler - durable and works as expected. Yes, it's a bit noisy but not a problem. It does the job well. It is wonderful for both my small, older hands and for my grandchildren. Warning - I first tried the shuffler by JOB and it was horrible quality. The battery cover broke the first time I tried to open it! You won't know it uses the under-powered AA batteries unless you read it on the box - battery information SHOULD be listed in the product description. However, I had a great experience with a very easy - and no cost! - return to Amazon. Next tried this shuffler by CHH and am very pleased. Quality is much superior for only a couple dollars more, though I've learned that Amazon prices fluctuate frequently so the savings vary a bit. I will be ordering more of these shufflers and am now a loyal Amazon customer due to their customer service!
