pam himes: We really like the shuffler it does what it says it will do it shuffles evenly and thoroughly. Fire needs to be aware that on the shuffler there are two very small post that hold the card holder in card holders what holds the cards after they've been shuffled. They are not securely connected to the machine and they fall off on the first chef where we had we were able to find the one and we super glued it on in the machine worked for years also if people eat and are playing cards which is typical the machine might get a little bit harder to shuffle because of oils. We returned the machine that we bought since we could not find the Black little post that held the card shuffler on and we got another one immediately so we were quite satisfied with that. We will be super gluing the posts on as soon as we open the box.

Mikal: ...but for the money, and with the expectation that I'll be shuffling cards at home and not running a back-room casino, it's exactly what I expected.

Were I to rate this based on what I expected, it would be 5 stars all the way, but instead I'll rate it based on overall quality, and review it for people who have never used electronic card shufflers.

Universally speaking (great Red Hot Chili Peppers song), battery-operated card shufflers under the several-hundred dollar vegas-style quality feel a bit cheap, and have a tendency to leave a few cards on the side about 10-15% of the time, and this one is no different. I bought this shuffler because it's just me and my wife playing cards at home, and she has small hands so it's just me shuffling over and over (we play heads up texas hold 'em, and I play tight, so we play a few dozen hands an hour and I'm tired of shuffling!!!).

Even so, it's not really any faster than shuffling by hand, so I still end up doing it manually. The biggest reason I'm still rating it a 4/5 is that I would love to use this for games that require shuffling several decks together, as it is much faster than I am at shuffling a lot of decks at...
