TreyC: I am here to purchase my second bag as the bag I purchased in 2016 (yes, 2016!) is now empty. It took me awhile (a few years at least) to figure out how to use these to there best potential. Out of the bag they are dry and not very flavorful. But take 1/4-1/2 cup and drizzle them with a little olive oil, water (water w/o the oil is not nearly as good) and sweetener (I used powdered xylitol) mix them up and let them rest, or microwave for 30 seconds or so to speed up the rehydration process and they are pretty darn close to the name brand sweetened variety...maybe better...just delicious! Put them in salads, baked goods etc. And drink up the juice left behind after hydrating them-just like cranberry juice. And don't forget these stayed fresh in my kitchen cupboard for 7 years!

Melinda: I wish they had called these what they are: freeze dried. They were literally the only thing I could find with no sugar added, but I wish I had read the minute description closer, because I wanted them for mixing in with nuts for snacking. The texture is a bit weird for that, though the flavor is good. I can see how they would be better for baking. My bad on not reading closely enough, but I still think they should call them freeze dried because they are not really just "dried" which would have made them more chewy and closer to what I was looking for. But thanks for being the only non sugar added option.

Kyle: I have been working for a while on cutting back on the amount of sugar I consume. Not eliminating it completely—our bodies need sugar—but consuming closer to the recommended amount (39g for men) than the average amount consumed by Americans (71g, close to twice as much).

ONE SERVING of Craisins contains 29g of sugar. ONE SERVING!!! That means if you put 1.5 servings in your oatmeal in the morning, you have already consumed more than the recommended daily intake of sugar. I couldn't find ANY cranberries at ANY grocery store, OR the farmer's market, without added sugar. And I live in Wisconsin—the cranberry state!

These? No sugar whatsoever.

As other reviewers have noted, they are TART! What did you expect? That everything is as sweet as the corporations tell us it is? No, many foods are naturally very tart—and cranberries are among the most tart. Do not expect them to taste like what you're used to. They are all flavor, and no sweetener.

You do have to rehydrate them before using. I just boil mine for about 5 minutes. If any flavor is lost, it's not noticeable. You can rehydrate a few cups at a time and store the rehydrated ones in a jar in the...

Jhon: I bought "unsweetened" cranberries thinking that "oh, I am beating the system! I can eat these isntead of the sugar reduced by other brands and have these all day long!"

WRONG. these are TRULY UNSWEETENED, there is absolutly 0 sweetness to these, they taste exactly what a cranberry should taste like when dried and without any sugar

5 star product for what it is, unsweetened cranberries

would I buy these for snackling NO. these are for people who NEED unsweetneed cranberries for some reason, but NOT as a replacement for "snacking" cranberries, unless you need a seriously natural cranberries

but you know what? I will be consuming these, I might add them to icecream, they feel like they absorb liquid very well and that adding them to something that is M O I S T would reduce the overall moistyness and infuse the cranberries with the taste of whtaver it is your cooking

you know what? these feel like they would be perfect for baking, you avoid having overtly suggary particles in your bread while adding savoryness

dont get it twisted, these are GOOD dried unsweetened cranberries, they are just... they are just not whwat I expected them to be, and...

herb: These are what I was looking for but the price is ridiculous. These are the ones used to make the infused ones and cost more DUH. Come on company step up and do what is right. All they have to do is weigh some out before being infused. just a big rip off. the product is good it is just the company ripping people off. Unfortunately they have a corner on the market and know it so rip off the public, I can afford to buy them. It is just the principle. So THANKS a bunch company. Even if they are below 8 percent moisture content. Its the principle. They should only cost a little bit. THEY DON'T HAVE TO RUN THEM THRU THE INFUSI0N WHICH IN REALITY COST LESS THAN THE INFUSED ONES. What a joke. There that is my opinion, u could be fair about it.
