Quiet: I was looking for a better waffle maker because the one I had was messy. So I ran across this one; I was fascinated by how it works. From a child in science fairs, I was always fascinated with volcanoes. So a win-win...
So let’s get into it! So when I ran across this one I immediately tried to order it,was out of stock, I searched the manufacturers and other sellers, and none were to be found. Yes disappointed, so I asked Amazon to notify me once it was available, now weeks turn into months. Finally, I got the notification and I purchased immediately. I could not wait to try it out and Amazon had it in front of my door that next day. I must admit it was a learning curve,so you don't wase mix, just read the instructions...smile
If you like your waffles toasty leave them in a little longer and some butter and it is so good. I like jam with some time.
What I dislike about it is the cleanup of the small disk on top of it, I recommend cleaning it after use because a challenge to get clean, since it's not advised to submerge it in water. I found a soapy dash cloth works well making sure to keep it upright.
If you can find one I believe is the best...

Michelle C: I was excited to get my new waffle maker, but. I was a bit disappointed though in some of the features. First, it tells you NOT to use spray or oil on it, as they say spray oil can build up and cause it to stick. It states that it is a nonstick surface and you do not need to use spray. So, my first time using it, I used no spray. What a damn mess! The waffle stuck all over into every crevice of the waffle iron and also burned. That was fun picking it all out..NOT! And, then let’s not forgot to mention what a horrible mess this thing is to clean! If you have batter that is going to puff up at all, as many types of batter do, or if you’re using eggs and making chaffles, it’s going to overflow, go all over the top of the waffle maker, and then pour out over the sides and all over the countertop! It gives you a measuring cup that shows you the maximum amount you can put in it, but, it doesn’t account for some of the fact that some of the mixes puff up quite a bit. And, God forbid that any batter gets around the pour spout or around the sides of the pour spout, because where it screws in has a very deep crevice that is virtually impossible to get batter out...

Amazon Customer: It’s a nice little waffle maker that makes really great waffles. I used the Krusteaz Belgium waffle mix. A little oil, a little water and a couple of eggs. There is no temperature to regulate. It’s automatic. The red light goes on when it’s time to pour the batter and the blue light goes on when the waffles are ready. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. These waffles were delicious and filling. If the batter drips a little bit on the outside clean it while it’s hot or it will be hard to get off when the waffle maker gets cold. It’s a nice waffle maker for not spending a lot of money.

Barton Pfrimmer: The non-stick coating is non-stick. It doesn’t leak out the side if overfilled (it expands slightly into the funnel on top) making it easy to clean up. The measuring cup is the right size to avoid waste. The waffles are a good size and cook quickly (I like mine done a couple minutes longer than the on-board timer.

pduffer: I have to admit I'm quite surprised at the reviews that are negative. I received the waffle iron yesterday and made waffles last night and again this morning. Simple. No mess. No stick. Perfect waffles. I bought this to replace another brand that I had worn out after a couple of years. (I fix waffles for breakfast an average of 5-6 times a week.) So far, this has proven to be the best waffle maker by far.

Update: I have now had this waffle maker for a few years. I continue to be surprised at the few negative reviews. As long as a person follows the instructions I can't see where the would be a problem. I saw where one person talked about the batter flowing out the top and all over the waffle maker. That makes me suspect they removed the funnel attachment after they poured the batter in. You're supposed to leave it on while the waffle cooks. Another talked about having to hurry with the batter and the waffle maker being when ready and then cooling off. That makes me assume they are using a different waffle maker as this model doesn't do that. There is no timer on it. I simply set a timer (oven or on my watch) for 5 minutes after I pour the batter...

Rita Karaffa : Where has this been all my life! I must admit I am a sucker for waffles and use any excuse to make them. The problem with makers I have had in the past was the batter oozed out everywhere and no matter what I tried, they were never nonstick! I had heard this waffle maker was different and it got good reviews so I was guardedly optimistic. When this came I gave it a wipe down and got busy with my favorite mix. I wanted to see if it was nonstick out of the box.

It was very nonstick! I was able to grab the waffle with my tongs as soon as the light came on! The entire batch was made with no sticking at all!
What was better than that is, they found a way to keep all the batter where it belonged...the ingenious funnel at the top! Any excess batter bubbles up this funnel and when the light comes on signifying that the cycle is complete, you just give the funnel a twist to the unlocked position which separates the overflow from the waffle and you are able to pull it right out!
I have used this a few times since then and still nonstick and still perfect doneness!
It even comes with a little cleaner for the funnel to remove the overflow! The steam cooked...
