Amazon Customer: bought to replace my mothers 1960 model. looks great, worked well. really well, only took about 30 seconds to cook, was almost to fast. burnt about the first 3 attempts. black (teflon?) scrapped off in middle of waffles. was using a silicone tool to lift. and doesn't stand on its own with or without cord wrapped around it as stated in directions. undecided about returning at this point.

Shawn Comis: Our family has been making Pizzelle cookies for 6 full generations. Sadly, our most reliable makers were the ones purchased by my grandparents back in the 1950's and 60's, but alas quit working ten years ago. I have been purchasing MANY brands, since then, and as we make hundreds of Pizzelle cookies every Christmas, as gifts to friends and families, those non-commercial makers usually do not last more than 1 or two seasons. Most makers take some seasoning, to start producing perfect cookies...some fail miserably, period. THIS, though....The Chef's Choice....WOW. Perfect from the first cookie to the 500th (still have a few hundred more to go, this season, so I will update the review after)....but I am so thoroughly impressed. FANTASTIC job and THIS is THE Pizzelle maker that you will want.

GeauxBucks!: Of course one doesn't need to only use this for the holidays but it seems to be more popular at that time of the year. My wife asked me for one so I got it. We are pleased with the product overall. No complaints from my wife.... yet!

Lilliane: I chose the Chef's Choice Express Bake based on the great reviews I read before making my decision on which one to buy. The price is moderate, and I hoped all the glowing reviews would be true. They were. Our very first batch was perfect, and it only took a couple to fine tune the amount of time needed for each baking cycle.

We do not use the classic recipes as my husband has cancer and we must be very careful of refined flours and heat damaged fats. Bryanna Clark Grogan published a Pizzelle Cracker recipe on her site, which prompted me to buy this, so my husband could have crackers again. They turned out perfect on the first try! Whole grains, olive oil, nut milk, salt and baking powder-very clean and healthy! This is so much easier than making crackers in the oven and trying to roll out the dough to consistant thickness.
We did find it necessary to let them crisp in the oven at 170 for 15-18 min. They then stay fresh and crisp until finished. The crackers take 1 minute to bake, then toward the end, I cut it to 50 seconds, as it seems the iron gets a little hotter as it is used.

I try to keep these crackers on hand a good deal of the time,...
