TDD: Love it, the adjustable temp is the bomb, no more measuring cup!

JoanG: I bought this to replace a cheaper one that died after 2 years. It's a very good-looking unit. It has definite advantages over most egg cookers. You don't have to use distilled water and measure it precisely. The timing adjustments are done by sliding a lever. I'm still working out the exact right setting but once you get it right, you can just leave it set there unless the size of your eggs changes. I use regular tap water. The water chamber has a non-stick lining you can wipe out. Because it doesn't boil dry like most cookers, there is no accumulation of stuck-on grunge that happens in other cookers even with using distilled water. For me the biggest advantage is that I can put 2 eggs in the cooker, have one soft-boiled for breakfast and continue cooking the other to hard-boiled for use later. The only trade-off is that there is no omelet tray but I prefer omelets cooked in a pan anyway.

W Pulley: This works so good. It cooks the eggs perfectly, just set it to the consistency you want. It beeps when the eggs are ready. No more boiling eggs and forgetting about them on the stove lol

Rolf HoffmannRolf Hoffmann: We ordered this product (Sept 22) after a previous version we had for over 15 years finally broke. Our first uses were great and we loved the egg poacher. about a dozen uses the non-stick coating started peeling off. we contacted the manufacturer, with a request to replace the product. we received an email asking for photos of the damage product back in Nov of 22. since then all communication with the manufacture has STOPPED. I have replied to their request for photos email multiple time with no response.
I would think twice about purchasing any product from this Manufacture, as they don't seem to care about customer service.

Walter GWalter G: My favorite part of this egg cooker is its consistency in the eggs, but there are small things you have to do to achieve this.

I always start with warm water that gets added, and always use the same amount, just under the fill line. I am sure if the water was cold it would through off the timing.

More expensive then the regular have to measure the amount of water per eggs cooked.
The $70+ price made me hesitant, but I do not regret buying this machine.

There is no auto-shutoff, yes this would be nice, but where do you go when you make breakfast.
Sometimes I watch TV while it cooks, when it buzzes you shut it off.

I have had 3 of the add just the exact amount of water for the egg consistency, yes they are cheaper but the results are varied. I got tried of the inconsistency and researched a lot and found this egg cooker this one seemed the best!

I have had mine since early December 2020, and never had an issue!
The other neat thing this cooker can do is cook eggs with different hardness all at the same.
Say you want soft boiled eggs, set it to soft wait till it buzzes then you take those eggs out. Move the slider to medium, turn the...

morninglauriemorninglaurie: I have had this egg cooker for over a year, and for the most part I love it. I grew up with soft cooked eggs in the shell (being of very English descent) so I was looking for the perfect egg cooker when my old one gave out. I love that an alarm sounds when done so I can do other things and not miss the light going out and come back to hard eggs when I want soft.

It is great for hard boiled eggs too-apparently I am easily distracted and when I did them on the stovetop would invariably overcook (I will admit that my daughter misses the green yolk since that is all she knew!)

As another reviewer said, it doesn't take much to move the adjustment. I find it annoying that the cord doesn't stay in it's little slot and if you don't look closely before you start it (black cord, dark granite counter!) it tilts it and contributes to a pool of condensation runoff on your counter.

My biggest problem with it is the arrogant "safety feature" of the single handle. This is NOT for someone with weak hands, or unable to pinch strongly with thumb and fingers. Since acquiring this cooker, I have developed trigger thumb and weakening... It has become difficult to lift the lid...

ND_Sandman: This is my first review on Amazon.
1st I purchased my Chef's Choice 810 from here, not Ebay or some other online site and not used at a garage sale.
2nd I read reviews from 3 site before making this purchase, more positive then negative ones, and most of the negative ones made me laugh.

Now on to the review: Devil Eggs ... I normally am the person at a get together that brings them, I also love soft and hard boiled eggs. I have been looking for an automatic egg cooker that will cooks hard boiled eggs perfectly and in my personal opinion I found it. Read the instructions, set it up, and I was on my way. Basically add water ( about 3/4 cup) to the base, place egg stand over water add 1 to 7 eggs, set time, wait, enjoy your perfectly cooked eggs. Pealing the eggs was easy, when the buzzer went off, I switched the power button to off, tipped the lid (read instructions) to release the steam, removed the cover and carefully lifted the egg holder off and into a large pot of ice water.FOR EASY PEALING
The pot I normally used to cook my eggs before now is used to cool down the eggs after the Chef's Choice 810 did its job. When I say ice water, that is what I mean .. a pot...
