AM: I really wanted to like these because the green is throughout and the shade I like but I must return them. The metal at the hilt is pocked and not smooth so already looks worn though they are new. I bought and replaced once already so it seems this is just a design flaw. For the price I guess it's understandable but while I knew they might not last or keep sharp long, I didn't expect them to look worn when they are new knives. Very disappointed, but I suppose I will spend the money on some quality knives that have green only in the handle and a different hue.

DeeVa: I bought these for my new apartment. I wanted a set to match my red Kitchen. These knives are sharp and cut well. I love them. They all have their own cover and the handle grips well when you cut. You will not be disappointed perfect for you cooking needs!!!

Amazon Customer: The handles on these knives are amazing but that's where the product enjoyment ends. The knives dull very quickly and the coating has worn off on all of them - leaving the coating on foods. It's to the point where I have to find new knives, even the Walmart knife I have is better and is still sharp and the coating has not changed. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Calvin: I've had this set for several weeks now. I have not had a chance to put each one through tough jobs in the kitchen, but have used them enough to give and honest initial review.

Each blade came with a fairly decent edge. There was no need to refine the edges prior to using them. As these are not a professional set you would expect to find in the kitchens of the finest chefs, you can not go wrong having them in you kitchen.

I like the feel of the handles. Rubberized, rounded and decent size. I don't think I will have any problems with comfort for the toughest jobs or grip issues for the wettest/messiest jobs.

The coating on the blades is a little puzzling. It looks cool but it seems to have no function. I thought it might assist in prevention of foods sticking to the blades, but it does not function for me in that manner. I don't think it hinders the function at all, so not considered a con.

Each blade comes with a plastic cover. At first I did not like the style of cover. It felt cheap, possibly difficult to apply, and I almost tossed them after unpacking. I was wrong. Although they seem simple, they are functional. The protect the edges, have openings...

Very sharp, High quality. Love the look. I bought blue and the speckled paint is a great look, especially when combined with the marbled handles. They are non-slip and feel solid. No wiggle between blade and handle. Weight is fine, not too heavy but they don't feel flimsy. I'm not experienced enough to comment on balance but they feel balanced enough for my hands. I have several pocket knives (Kershaw, Gerber, etc.) and every knife in this set comes sharper than my pocket knives currently are (I need a better sharpening stone, but these kitchen knives are impressively sharp). They cut paper all the way across without sawing. I imagine they will stay sharp for quite a while cutting carrots and potatoes but the fine edge will surely need resharpening over time.

My only complaints:
1.) The Amazon listing doesn't include the type of metal used beyond "High-Performance Stainless-Steel". There are many grades of stainless steel, each one having its own properties. Therefore I suspect they used a version which is easy to sharpen, gets very sharp, but won't hold an edge for very long, especially against hard materials. This is to be expected, however, when buying...
