Elizabeth B.: I found out my water filter wasn't working as well as I thought it was. The tds of my water were over 200 after being filtered. To make sure it was working correctly I tried it with distilled water and it registered zero tds, so I'm confident the meter is accurate.

CaStu: Nachdem mein altes TDS Messgerät gerade dabei ist die Grätsche zu machen, habe ich mir dieses gekauft. Es zeigt zuverlässig immer den selben Wert an, wenn ich zum Beispiel mein Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn an verschiedenen Tagen messe. Mit meinem alten TDS Messgerät weichen jedoch die Werte um 18Einheiten ab. Ich kann nicht genau sagen, welches denn nun wahrheitsgemäßer misst. Beide zeigen bei RO-Wasser den Wert 0 an, was auch so sein soll. Im Endeffekt spielt das aber auch keine wirklich große Rolle, zumindest für mein Aquarium. Die Hauptsache ist, dass das TDS-Messgerät konstant in seinen Messungen ist und das ist dieses auf jeden Fall.

Bret: It's worked out well enough, and at a reasonable price.
It differs from the TDS gauge supplied with the Zero Water package originally. Not by much. The readout comes after a hesitation, which the original didn't have.
So far, so good. TDS in the water is an important issue for me because I grow choice tropical plants that detest salts in the irrigation water.
As well as giving me tolerable drinking water! Because I live in San Diego. Uch! Worst-tasting water anywhere.

ILARIOILARIO: È uno strumento economico che misura il valore del residuo fisso e non la durezza. Il valore però viene ottenuto moltiplicando il valore della conducibilità elettrica rilevata dallo strumento moltiplicato per un numero che in America è 0,5, mentre in Europa 0,64. Quello che misura lo strumento è quindi il valore di residuo fisso con una misurazione americana. Per avere quella europea basta moltiplicare il valore sul display per 1.3. Ad esempio, leggo sull'etichetta di un'acqua un valore di residuo fisso pari a 298. Lo strumento indica 225. Questa lettura va moltiplicata per 1.3 che è quindi 292,5
