Kresimir Pucaj: An excellent source of information, from scientists,Evolution dismantled on improbability of life arising spontaneously from a probiotic soup. You can find information here that that they do not teach you in school!

Amazon Customer: The book researches and assesses current views on the origin of life and is a timely update from the 1984 work. While some aspects of the book are technical and a science background is helpful, the reader will nevertheless obtain a good understanding of the field. The sections on thermodynamics of large biomolecule formation are well worth the cost of the book.

DR Phil: It was not until I started reading into this book that I realised it is not a scientific analysis of 'Life's Origins' - rather it is pseudoscience - i.e. dressing up religious arguments in scientific type language - in an attempt to try and give the arguments some sort of credibility to creationism and the idea that God - or some other superior mind - is the explanation of life. Whilst I am open to hearing alternative points of view - I feel deceived and very disappointed with this purchase. It should state clearly on the Amazon website that this is more of a religious book rather than a serious scientific account.

P A Jones (PhD): This is a fascinating account/review of the current state of play concerning abiogenesis. The authors are thorough, wide ranging and everything is referenced. The issues are clearly laid out and their arguments are cogent. If, after reading this, you still believe in natural causes for the origin of life, then you must be welded to your worldview trusting to blind faith rather than accepting the evidence. Very challenging for the philosophical naturalist/materialist, and very encouraging for ID and theists in general.

Client d'Amazon: Still accurate , and really helpful, for every person who is interested in critic investigations on a highly controversial subject

Rob: This is indeed comprehensive deep science.
It is not easy to read, but for the dedicated, or those (like me) who love the wonderful science that is trashing Darwinianism, this is a stellar (5 star) book.
So why only 4 stars ...
Because I am a strict Bible Believer, and one whole chapter in this book (the one on astrophysics) certifies the Darwinian view of "Long Time".
I humbly submit that this contradicts the following verses ...
Matthew 19:4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female.
Matthew 19:8 He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.'
2 Peter 3:4 saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."
Luke 1:70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,...

D.Staley: ID has made a resurgence thanks to scientists, like these authors, who never stop seeking and promoting the truth. It's refreshing to read about theories that include all possible explanations for the origin of life, not just the ones that align with the mainstream opinion of the day (i.e., materialistic evolution). Scientific truth should never be decided by popular opinion, but rather by following the evidence to the best explanation.

JoeJensen: This book cuts through all the misconceptions lay people have regarding how life started on our sterile planet. Currently, most of the best minds grappling this problem, hide their failure from the general public.
Sadly, students are kept in the dark about what really goes on behind the closed doors of the biological science elites.
This book is a shocking breath of intellectual fresh air.

john pidgeon: This book smashes current scientific reliance on Neo-Darwinism. Most scientific inquiry bases itself on the descriptions of Darwin, who doubted many of his own theories; however, it gave scientists the ability to be the new priesthood - all things come from this theory which is un-proven. Scientists, especially secular humanists, have a "herd mentality" which is fostered by the need for grant money. If one goes outside the accepted scientific theories, they are immediately castigated. There is zero evidence for abiogenesis. This book is one of the most important treatises for the argument that intelligent design must be re-introduced into the classroom. If it is denied, as it currently is, isn't the non-investigatory study of intelligent design un-scientific in itself? Every serious scientist must read this.

Mark W. Ingalls: As a Christian who was a professional scientist, I have always found ID less than compelling. At the same time, abiogenesis seemed like silly, wishful thinking. Not having had but one undergrad course apiece in organic, bio- and physical chemistry, I have never felt like I could think out a critique for myself, however. Now come Thaxton, Bradley, Olsen, Tour and Meyer to do the heavy work for me.

This book is a gem, and not simply because of its well-defended thesis: It should also be held up in front of all the bright young Christian people who errantly believe they must avoid science or give away their faith.
