chutz747man: It has not failed to start up yet. The only thing is that to choke it, manual says to pull cord 3-5 times. It is more like 10 times needed.

Dave Williams: I am getting ready to do some Disbursed Camping/Primitive Camping, so I wanted a little 1000W generator, just "in case."
I obsessively researched the smaller Inverter Generators prior to making this purchase. I strongly considered Predator, Honda, Westinghouse and Generac. And I looked at the rest. I had never even heard of Champion Generators. And I didn't know about the "dual fuel" (gas and propane) Inverter/Generators.
WHAT A GREAT GENERATOR!!
After I connected the LPG hose (provided) to my own 20gal propane tank (BBQ size), connecting the propane hose to the generator took EXACTLY ONE SECOND. Simply PRESS the hose into the quick-connect coupling on the generator (same as an air tool fitting) and YOU ARE CONNECTED! Takes ONE SECOND! No more nasty gas!
STARTUP:
After priming it with propane according to instructions, the Champion generator started on the 2nd pull. Yes!
NOISE:
Not loud at all, but it does GROWL a bit more loudly when under a load.
WEIGHT:
Excellent! I have 12-year-old 2000W Inverter/Generator that still works well. However, it is Longer, Taller and Wider than this Champion, and it weighs 62 pounds! That's over...

Kindle Customer: So we've had enough power outages so decided it was time to get a generator. Just needed something both me and my wife could move around and use if the power went out. IWe don't need it to power the whole house, just power the fridge and a few other things until the power goes back on. This one was on sale and seemed to fit the bill.
Pros
- dual fuel, is supposed to run between 24-34 hours on a tank of propane.
- easy to get ready, startup instructions were very clear and it started right up
- noise level is low, you can hear it running but its only a little louder than a car at idle.
Cons
- heavier than we thought. Although lighter than some other models, this one is almost 50 lbs and, as it doesn't have wheels, would need to be lifted outside to use. Other generators are available that produce more power and, although a little heavier, have wheels so they might be easier to move around.
- small gas tank. If you plan to run it on gasoline, the tank is only a gallon or so (although it says it will run ~11 hours on a tank of gas).
- the generator comes with a little flyer that says "submit a review and we'll send you a free t-shirt." Who...

Patricia F.: We were out of power for 4 days here in Central Texas and finally had a chance to bust this puppy out. It powered our inside fridge and freezer in garage plus 4 lamps with LED bulbs, the Visio TV, charged laptops, phones, etc. It's limit is 2000 watts so if you are looking for one to power electric heaters you'll do beat with a larger watt capacity generator. While it could handle a heater, I was surprised to see most heaters are in the 1200 watts+ ballpark, consuming more than 50% of the devices capacity. On about 50% load I was getting 25 hours or so on a 20lb propane tank. My only wish was that it had a load readout so you could tune capacity. Read the directions, the the fast start but rather the bigger manual for how to start. The fast start guide was not sufficient for telling me how to start it up. Once I learned how, it started right up every time. Make sure you get plenty of 10 or 12 gauge heavy duty extension cords and splitters. Also Google "Watt capacity by extension cord gauge" to understand how to branch off from the main line coming into the house. I highly recommend this generator by Champion. 2 thumbs up!

Jay: Bought as a backup to my gas generator, just to have one that could run off propane. Started easily off propane and runs much quieter than I would have expected. We'll see how it holds up over time but so far so good!
