Ren M.: works great! tracking is a /bit much/ because of the coconut husk flakes (?), but it is fairly easy to sweep, and i don't really expect any litter to have absolutely 0% tracking at this point.

odor control is not bad, i think it only slightly smells when my furball makes his contributions. as long as the litter is cleaned on a standard basis, odor isn't a cause of concern at all.

it clumps really well when there's a good chunky layer of litter. however, when my cat pees, he PEES.. so when i scoop up the huge clump, sometimes it'll break apart and still be wet inside

Lush Landscapes: It's soft under the cats paws and doesn't stick to either the paws or fur so there is not much tracking outside the litterbox. It doesn't smell like some sickly perfume - it doesn't seem to have a scent at all. It absorbs odors well and scoops up well. It also doesn't stick to the cat litter box - most litters seem to turn to concrete in the corners and bottom of the box. It also lasts a long time since it is so easy to scoop out just the waste and leave the rest. I just add some to keep the level consistent every few days, and after about 2 weeks I stop adding more so that the litter get a little low and then do a complete cleanout and refill of the box a day or so later. I have two kittens right now and have used up about 1 1/2 bags over the past two months.

I've had cats for most of my life and this is probably the best litter I've used.

P: If making kitty litter, a scooper wouldn’t be a bad thought either as there are hardly smaller ones that can get the pieces that fall apart. Also I Don’t like the clumping ingredient. I think it’s slightly hazardous but live in a chemical free home so am allowing this, for now.

Sonic: I've gone through 6 litters in 3 years. I know it seems like this one is expensive compared to the "clay" clumping but hear me out because you really need to know some of this stuff. I adopted 2 cats that had nothing but health issues for the first year [and continue to randomly have] up until now, and they are almost 2.5 years old. We just changed one of our boxes to a litter robot. Our long hair male started sneezing moreso than ever-with clear nasal discharge [he had chronic blood spewing URI's when he was a kitten] so I'm familiar with allergy sneeze versus 911 sneeze. I didn't realize the SAME litter in a flat box would not produce so much dust, versus the drum in the litter robot. We'd had NO issues with this cat littler until now. Okay-fast forward into R&D mode. I had tried ALL of the dustless or no dust options from amazon, literally ordered 3 different kinds. I found the walnut shell at the local pet store and thought I would try it. It said clumping, it said no dust [now mind you--in the meantime mister man is sneezing-he tracked the NEW litter down to his sisters old box, and she was allergic to the new litter [imagine my hell]. So I tried the wallnut...

Janet Cook: My aim with cat litter is to put as little of it as possible into landfill and have a cat litter that works. This litter meets both criteria.
It takes a little getting used to if you are used to clumping litter; the idea is the only remove the solids and leave the wet litter in the litter pan. It may seem a little counter-intuitive but the coconut will absorb all the wetness if you just mix it well after removing the solids. There is so much less to throw out because once the coconut is fully soaked, you just empty the "poo-free" mix into your garden.
It works just the same way that all the expensive peat moss and fertilizers work, by improving the workability of your soil, without the cost and inconvenience involved.

Use a good mat and high-sided litter pan with this litter.

Cheryl K.: My cat has only been using this litter for a couple of weeks now, so I'm only giving it 3 stars right now because I'm not entirely sold on it yet. I like most things about it. It's light weight, 100% natural and can be repurposed for use on the lawn and flower bed. What I'm not liking so much is that it's tracking terribly. I intend to purchase a better mat for under the litter box to hopefully reduce some this. Also because it was the first time using it (one cat) I started with 2/3 of a bag because it 'expands'. I dutifully scooped and stirred the litter twice a day, but by day 11 I could smell an ammonia odor and had to change it. Up until then there wasn't any noticeable odor at all. The cost is also something to consider. I was previously purchasing Arm & Hammer's 'slide' litter because it clumped much better than other brands I've bought. It's on the higher end of the cost scale, but I found it was worth it. For me, Cat Spot is comparable in price if a bag would last 1 month, but that doesn't appear to be the case for me, or my cat I should say! I feel that it also has a lot to do with your cat. My cat may have a stronger urine than some and that's why I had to change...

J. S.: I really wanted to love this! It's light, soft, and has a really pleasant earthy smell. It controls odor and moisture surprisingly well. And it's really appealing that it's from a renewable resource, rather than sourced from mining.

The downside is that it's pretty messy. This wasn't so much of a problem, since the litter is soft and unobstrusive. It just looks like someone dragged in dirt, and it doesn't have the "ah did I step on a Lego?!" problem that happens with crystal litter. It was a bit funny and concerning, though, when my cat started playing with the litter. Whoops. I guess they like the texture a little TOO much. This is also not the best option for automatic litter boxes, either, because it does get stuck sometimes.

The biggest problem, though, is that this litter is now out of stock and seems harder to get. That drives up the price and it's unfortunate. Paying more than $20 for litter is a dealbreaker.

Allison Melia: I really, really, really love this cat litter!! I love the environmentally friendly aspect of it--dump it in the garden, flush the poo--and the fact that it's odour free. It can track, but not as badly as the clay litters. If the litter box doesn't have a cover, it can tip easily if the cat steps on the side. I have a few cats and they all are fine with it!

Pauline Welsh: Bought this product to try as my very senior cat stopped using her litter box filled with regular clumping litter. Think the litter was hurting her paws. Since changing to this litter she is back to using her box with no problems. Find it lasts a good couple of weeks before the odour from urine starts to overwhelm and you have to dump it and start fresh. It is very light and fluffy, which is great. Does tend to be thrown out the box though when she is in there. Overall a great product. Have bought twice now and will be ordering again.

Maria Fisher: Hey guys! Please give this litter a try - it really is pretty amazing. I have three girl cats that are just over 5 years old so I can honestly say I have been using cat litter for easily 5 years. In the beginning, I really wasn't liking many of the products out there. The 'all natural' clay was too chunky and didn't seem to clump well, and many others were too dusty or overly scented (even the 'non-scented' ones seemed to sneak something in).
It's really not good to change up your products with your cats too much, as they can develop an allergic reaction to a chemical or additive, so once I found a litter that was decent, I pretty much stuck with it. Still dusty, but less so and much better at clean up. About three months ago, I saw an ad for CatSpot Litter and was intrigued. It really looked promising, but I still had my doubts so I did what any good cat owner would do and made my sister try it first!! (She also has three cats).
She doesn't hesitate with new things. She ordered it right away and really liked it, although one of her cats was a little finicky at first so she used it straight up in one box and mixed it in to the other until Dottie got used to it. One of the...
