R. M.R. M.: Our cats did not immediately jump on this but now one uses it as the daily sun spot. And, bonus, they use the scratch post instead of the chair now. I just thought it would be bigger. The toy included lasted less than 2 hours, but the dog was involved in that destruction. Worth the cost for our cats.

SYR: I had no problem assembling it or with the quality, my twin kittens were 5 months (5lbs) when I got it and are still able to use it for sleeping and claw sharpening. After a couple months of being in bathroom lockdown for rescue medication nothing frayed or broken, of course the columns show some cat scratching which is what meant for. It is small, but is perfect size for my needs in small half bath. I also wanted it as steps to help them get up and down from sink area so don't break or strain something and it is good height for that, so it's against the sink cabinet but has never toppled when they use is as a spring board to jump up to sink. Can't tell you if stable with no wall, but seems as stable as any I've seen in past.

Starlord: My cats enjoy this a lot. I needed something for them to scratch other than my leather headboard.
Really easy to install and the instructions come with pictures. The beds are soft and look very pretty. The price is excellent and the product feels sturdy so far.
I would recommend this more for small kittens or 6 month old cats. The beds are a bit small for my 11 month old domestic shorthair cats. The scratch posts are also short only the second level gets any action.

hokiemommy35: We just adopted 2 brand new kittens and this works perfectly. I like that it is smaller because we really didn't want something that was terribly large or obtrusive, it can easily be moved to a different room or tucked behind something. The kittens actually use all of the features of this- they sleep on both the perch and in the little "basket", they've started using the cylinder pieces for scratching and they even play with the little feather. It takes 5 minutes to assemble, arrived in one day. Both my children (4 & 8) seem to insist on sitting on parts of it (and though of course we discourage this), it's sturdy enough for this. **While this does work great for kittens, I would suggest carefully checking size before considering for older/largercats, for the price, I feel we will easily get our money's worth but depending on size of an adult cat- this might not work past a certain size/age.

SusieBer: I like the quality of the materials, the colors and the look. My smaller cat (~10 lbs) loves the hammock.
However, this particular Catry model is not stable. Sure, I put it against a wall but that leaves three other directions for it to fall down. And fall down it does.
Additionally, this model is designed for a very small cat. My guestimate is this *may* work for a 5-7 lb. cat. But cats are quite the gymnasts. Even for a small cat, running and jumping may not fare well. I suspect that even a smaller, active cat would successfully topple this tree.
