Gloriana: The media could not be loaded.  Not sure this will do much of anything since soiled cat litter will because smelly over time. I use pretty litter, which last a month before it needs to be changed. The first 2 weeks there isn't any odor due to whatever the pretty litter does. By the 3rd week it starts to become noticeable a bit and by the 4th week, it becomes pretty unbearable even with using this cat litter air purifier and adding baking soda to the litter.

Nachtrag nach 4 Wochen! Es funktioniert wirklich! Hab es in dem Behälter für die Aktivkohle, bzw darunter gelegt. Jetzt wo die knapp 4 Wochen rum sind stinkt es wieder heftig wenn der Kater sein Geschäft erledigt hat. Urin stinkt komischerweise nicht. Klare Nachkaufempfehlung!

Amanda Mcdonald: I doubted the claims made by Catit about the Magic Blue Cat Litter Box Air Purifier. I looked through reviews and thought, why not take a chance? It's a good price, so I might at well give it a try.
This purifier far surpassed my expectations. I have 3 kittens and the difference these 2 tiny little filters inside this convenient small contraption made is AMAZING. I noticed a difference fairly quickly, but I really noticed it when I ran out of the filters that go inside of the blue part and went a few days without it in the litter box. I will not go without these again. Catit did an amazing job with this product 👏
I can not smell cat pee at all anymore and it seriously cuts down on the smell of poos.
Of course, I also clean the litter box twice a day, and every so often three times a day when needed. If you're not cleaning your litter box properly, it's going to smell. Period.
So far, I have not had any issues with the adhesive part like I saw in some other reviews. The refills came in quickly. The box was a little crushed, but the filters themselves were just fine. I'm so happy to have found this product!!

J.Royer: Happy to see it's a Quebec product. Works wonders for keeping my cat's litter not stinking as I still work from home and sometimes have Zoom meetings in our small living room where the cat's litter is hidden under a table right in front of the couch.

No smells at all for a whole 30 days with one pouch. REALLY makes a difference as I would have a headache and feel nauseated after a 2 hour meeting with the ammoniac smell. Seems like a lot of money, but since it works, I keep buying some more.

Mary: Since urine smells stronger in the warm month, I thought an odor-reducing pad might help. However, when I cleaned the Clevercat high-sided, top-entry litter box and looked in the Magic Blue cartridge, under its lid I saw a coating of nutmeg-colored powder under the circular "Catit" nameplate--the cartridge was under the lid of the Clevercat box and therefore upside-down. It didn't strike me until later that there are slots on either side of the Catit name plate so nutmeg-colored powder had to have sifted through the slots onto whatever was below the cartridge. I didn't become alarmed until I saw what looked like a greasy chemical burn on my cat Sox's back. (Sox has some almost nutmeg coloring, so I hadn't noticed the powder on him.) I can't be 100% sure that was the cause of the burn, but there has been nothing around here (or used around here) that could have caused such a burn.

The box only says it contains charcoal, but there are obviously also chemicals--charcoal is not nutmeg colored. The mixture shouldn't be sifting out of the cartridge--not from the top or any of the openings on all 4 sides of the Magic Blue cartridge.

eileen d.: I bought Catit Air Purifiers for each of our 5 litter boxes. While I think they may be effective in helping control odor, within two days of installing them, 3 of the 5 units became unstuck from the litter boxes in which they were mounted and became covered with cat litter. One purifier unit became so covered that it was unrecoverable and had to be thrown out. The other two are fine, but I'm not sure what to use to reinstall them. Duck tape? Carpet tape? The adhesive dot they came with for installation did not work right from the start, so I tried using a glue that is recommended to adhere plastic to plastic, but obviously it did not work to keep the purifiers in place. The location where I mounted the purifiers was clean and dry. So I'm not sure what to think about them. I hope I can find a way to remount the two remaining ones that fell out; if I find that they are effective, I'll replace the one that was lost. My recommendation to anyone considering the purchase of these units: figure out an alternate way to adhere them to your litter boxes!
