william scott: This text was recommended by an internet Chemistry site and they were right on with their rating of this text as the best in the English language. The authors have devoted an immense amount of time to make the material interesting and well organized. The diagrams and pictures are clear and colored. The tables and charts are clear. There are boxes that go into depth about certain topics. The text is 1200 pages and is packed with excellent information about the finer details of the elements, covalent bonds, and the quantum mechanics of molecular orbitals.
I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley but went into medicine for 35 years. Now retired I find my desire for chemistry is stronger than ever and I am thoroughly enjoying this text. It is for the upper division under graduate who has had general chemistry and the basic organic chemistry courses. I do not remember much of Calculus so some of the problems I can not do, but it is not essential. The material is so well explained that the math can be left alone.
I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to know more about how chemistry works at the atomic and molecular level.

Sergio C.: sempre il miglior testo di chimica organica, non può mancare, sarebbe bello avesse delle sezioni di laboratorio in modo da avere un manuale unico

SUPRIYO HALDERSUPRIYO HALDER: There is no doubt about that the text "Inorganic Chemistry " is one of the best for both text book and reference book for graduate and undergraduate student. I surprised to see the quality of packaging from Amazon. Not a mm of length has been distorted. It reach to me ( my home residence is quite in rural area, not so people are used to buy books through online) like I just bought this book from a book store. It's absolutely delighted to see the book is exactly the same as per the image shown on Amazon. The book is multicoloured one, page quality is very very nice and smooth. My rating will be 5 out of 5. One important thing the price of this book is still quite high but if you judge the price of a book on the basis content it will be absolutely rubbish. This a standard reference and text for all University, CSIR-NET, GATE and many other competitive exams. My advice to all undergraduate and postgraduate students to buy this book immediately for your inorganic course. Thank you Amazon ....thank you..very much..

Yang Peng: Book is suitable for both undergraduate and graduate level. It's significantly more well-organized than the third version.

Artemesia: This edition somewhat lacks the clarity that made the Second so excellent. The Second Edition could be read and largely assimilated by the undergraduate. However, the book compensates with industrially important and leading-edge topics, which will make it more useful to the graduate (postgraduate) student and industrial chemist, but slightly less useful as an undergraduate text when compared with the earlier editions - there will be a temptation to use it as a reference rather than assimilate the whole. However, it remains an excellent textbook for the learning undergraduate.

Poonam Sharma: The book comes in a coloured edition and the paper quality is good but the you can see the text over through the page. I dont know why this happened to me or the seller has sold me the counterfeit version because when I opened the book the printing address is not given in the book which even further solidified my speculations that it is indeed a counterfeit book. But anyways the content is very good which is gievn and explained in detail. Good for various exams.
