Mike: Starting off I caught a 56 pound Blue November 2022 with this rod. Handled that fish like a champ. Have also caught multiple 30+ pound carp and other species.

Light weight rod that's very strong. It has long backbone but a soft tip. You get a good feel when fighting fish so you can feel all the head shakes etc. Match it with the right line and you can bomb 5oz to 8oz weights with live or cut bait no problem.

I did not have any issues with shipping or any damages when my rod arrived. It is still in perfect working order since my purchase maybe a year ago. The only thing I've done to this rod was paint it UV orange for when I night fish.

PDSHOOTER: These rods and reels are an excellent value. You can tell the seller cares about their reputation because of the hand written thank you on the invoice. I now have 3 of these rods and reels and will probably buy a 4th before spring.

KukoRoKukoKukoRoKuko: Looks durable. Haven't tested yet. Came with a slight break on handle. Maybe from packaging or delivery or overlooked quality control. I don't really care. I could find something to wrap it with. Not a big deal to me hence one less star.

Jerry Haley: Ordered my second rod from Catfish Pro since I had bought one back several months ago and was I very impressed by it. My second rod was shipped USPS and heavy duty shipping container and rod was broken perfectly in the middle. No problem contacted Catfish Pro.forgot his name but I felt like I was talking to my local bait store. He advised me they never had one broken like this and would send a replacement. He sent rod out that day and you will not believe it but the second rod was broken identical to the first. I actually thought USPS had brought back the rod I had sent back. This time I refused the order and contacted Catfish Pro letting them know of the problem. I have fishing trip planned this weekend with grand boys and I told the gentleman I knew I it would be hard to ship in time. This is where customer service really came in. He told me would ship that same day and I received it today. Catfish Pro was not at fault with the damaged container or fishing rod I blame the USPS what are the chances that two identical items were damaged this way.
