Michelle: I received a sample of this from my vet when I was trying to test my cat for UTI/FLUTD before buying this package off Amazon for my own usage when I was suspiscious of my cat's health. Some people in the reviews seem to think you're supposed to fill the litter box to the normal 2-3 inches depth - that is not true. This "litter" is used for sampling and should not be used as a long-term litter replacement. I've used about half a container of one to just barely cover the botton of an empty litter box and my cat took to it without issues. You should have another litter tray for your cat to use normally while using Nosorb in another clean box. It makes it easy to syringe a urine sample for when I need it and then just dump the Nosorb into the trash or another normally filled litter tray.

Paula F.: Several days now and my cat has not gone in. Probably need to use all 6 containers to cover litter box and then it still doesn't deliver. I agree with other poster that the granules are probably rough on a cat's feet. What will happen if the cat does urinate in it -- their paws will no doubt step into the urine. If no success tomorrow, I will be returning the product.

ItsMaryK8: I was so proud of myself for getting a successful cat urine sample at home, lol! This works great - but - I use way more of it than they recommend. It’s easy: wash out the litter box with soap and water, dry, put in a generous amount of this litter, then wait. Way better than having to get a sample at the vet.

Dani J. Whitfield: We have a cat who suffers from frequent UTI's (he has FLUTD). His urine always needs to be tested when he gets a UTI because he has developed a resistance to some of the antibiotics used to treat them. This litter is plastic and does not absorb the urine at all, so it is easy to capture a sample from the box and get it to my Vet. Unfortunately, this litter is very expensive and I have to use about 5 cups every time. I'd love to find something that works as well as this that is more affordable, but as I said, it works exactly as it is meant to.
