DW: I purchased this clock to replace one I had for many years that I had dropped too many times. I use it every day and travel with it. It works great, folds up for travel and only lights up if you press the button on the front, so no blue light disturbing your sleep. It has an option of 12 or 24 hour clock. It is silent.

Alm: It's almost perfect.
Pros:
Compact - you can't have it smaller and yet with big display and functional buttons.
Bright and contrast display - can read it in the night without glasses.
On the outside panel there is only one big button - Light/Snooze/Stop - this is a single blue button in the top right corner. This is the only button that you need in the morning, nothing to fumble around, looking which of many buttons to push, to shut it off. All other buttons are hidden under the panel that serves as a kick-stand, but I like it laying flat rather than standing. This is a travel item, not a household alarm clock.
Famous Japanese brand, made in China but they took time to write manual in a good English. I know, this is just an alarm clock, what "manual", right? I'm tired of zillions of haphazardly made gadgets with manuals written in totally incomprehensible Chinglish.
I needed a magnifying glass to read the manual though. And to read the tiny buttons under the cover panel - those for setting time and alarm. But you only need to read manual once, and you don't use those setup buttons every day. I'm using magnifying glass to read instructions...

NorthFlorida: i received this today and spent some time messing around with it. first of all i received what was pictured, the Casio PQ-13. another reviewer said this used and came with a AA battery. mine, in fact, fits and came with a AAA battery. the printed booklet that came with it also said it takes a AA battery, so i don't know if they changed the case and battery size and forgot to change the text, but mine was definitely a AAA.
the alarm is not any louder than any other normal bed side alarm i've ever had (i almost didn't buy this one because a couple of reviewers said this was loud enough to wake the dead).
i have seen some reviews that say the snooze is broken or lasts 24 hrs. the directions say NOTHING about this....but in order for that blue "snooze/light" button in the upper right to snooze, you must have the ALARM slider set to SNZ (snooze) NOT just to ON. if you have the slider set to ON and you hit the snooze, it will turn off the alarm for 24 hrs, NOT 8 minutes.
the buttons are small but the whole thing is small, if you have giant hands you may have a problem with the sliders. you can use a pencil eraser to push the HR & MIN buttons with no problem....

J. M. Hartberger: I'm in the Navy, and I was looking for an alarm clock i could stick to the side of my rack so it'd be out of the way, but it had to have a flat back so I could use a command adhesive strip to mount it to the wall.
There is a face panel that folds down if you want to use it on a table-top; I left this up. Another reviewer gave this product a terrible rating because he couldn't find the adjustment buttons; I must say, it would have to be because he was too busy licking windows with his pants on his head. They're literally right there behind the panel, which is hinged on the bottom.
Setup is very, very straight-forward, as you might expect it to be. I did not partake of the snooze setting, as I don't do the snooze thing. I've heard it's an odd time interval. One of the sliders allows you to set whether mashing the big blue button cancels the alarm or snoozes it.
I'm not sure if it was because the speaker of the alarm was directly butted up against the large, flat 1/16" steel panel that made up the side of my rack, turning it into a giant speaker, but this alarm is UNBELIEVABLY LOUD. If you are in a rack, you would have to literally already be dead to not get...
