Dmitri Lake: When pods became the norm for dishwasher detergent I didn't really question it, just started using them like everyone else as they were the most available. After returning to powder, I will never go back! I just finished a box, three months after opening it. Still have one more on the shelf. Two for $25, that's about 180 washes (and I fill both the wash and prewash compartment). Cascade pods are about $30 for 90, (or $60 for 180). Meaning pods are 240% more expensive than powder!
Lastly, and perhaps the most important fact, I swear my dishes are cleaner with powder than they ever got from pods. You won't regret it.

Yasmine Hepburn: i’m about to sound like a big nerd, sorry i’m advance. i watch a lot of H3, the #1 podcast in the world, & lately they’ve been on this debate about weather or not to pre-rinse dishes, & it made me think about weather or not i’m using my dishwasher properly. the producer, Dan the queen, mentioned how he noticed the biggest difference by switching to powder, rather than pods. Dan also taught us that EVERY DISHWASHER HAS A GARBAGE DISPOSAL! WHY DOES NOBODY TALK ABOUT THIS!
later that night, i research my exact brand of dishwasher, & came to the conclusion he’s probably right. i saw this was on sell, lots of redditors rave about this exact powder detergent brand, so i had to try it. even going as far as not pre-rinsing dishes, letting food dry for a couple days, so we can fully test this. the. i put the exact amount in the pre-wash compartment, & exact amount in the main-wash compartment. OMG, I HAVE BEEN A FOOL MY ENTIRE LIFE. not a spot, not a single spot. whoever told us to pre-rinse our dishes clearly hated us & wanted us to suffer our entire lives.
