Christina L: I use these at home for my 18 month old, and they’re amazing. They’re big enough to really capture her interest, even though she’s not advanced enough for the questions on the back. She looks at them as much as her books (that’s a lot!). I think they’re great tools for all children 14 months to 5 years old.

David M.: The cards do not have the associated word or phrase anywhere on them. There is a card with a list at the end of the section but that is useless for the child that is looking at the cards. Thus, the cards are not designed in any way to assist your child and learning how to read. From my mother, my mother-in-law, my sister, and my wife thus far. Far all I have heard is where are the words? The answer is at the end of each set of cards. There is a numbered list with the words which again does not help your child since you would have to show them the card then point at the word on the list. When offering the cards to an educator they ask where are the printed words. When I say they are not on the card they say oh well. We already have sets where the words are printed on the cards so thank you but we do not need them. Oh well, I'm too lazy to worry about trying to get a refund so you guys are all good. I would however recommend that you get the words printed on the back of the card so they will serve more than just the purpose you have intended.

Marianna: I was very concerned about my son not talking when he turned one. I used these cards every morning and afternoon and he started making animal noises in just a couple of weeks! It isn’t exactly what I intended but it helps 😊 I know these cards are meant for older kids. However I believe it did great for my son and I’ll keep using them. I wish they were thicker so my son wouldn’t have folded them so easily. But then again, he’s a baby and these are intended for older kids.

Kimberly Kay: Just got these in today so have not used them with kids yet. I bought them for actual photos of items to help supplement learning for my daughter and kids I babysit. Here is my 1st impression

Pros: There are a lot of cards for the price, large easy to see images, great for receptive and expressive learning, much cheaper than competitors cards

Cons: cards may not hold up long overtime (can be easy fix by laminating though), some pictures are little blurry to eye, some images are outdated, personally not a fan of some of the farm animals having tags on them

My main purpose was the animals and food categories though. I wanted qaulity real life images and not just clipart pictures. This set has lots of animals and good amount of food (could be lot more though) so definitely works for my purpose.

Edit 8 months later: this is a great set with variety, my daughter loves when I pull out the cards. Great for building language skills, animal sounds, sign language, receptive skills, picture to the object matching. So many uses and was such a great purchase.
