Kindle Customer: I consider this five star because the story greatly captured my interest. Event after event was unexpected and challenging. The people were well described. I didn't understand why Jessie reacted the way she did near the end of the book, didn't make sense to me, in fact I thought that that portion of the story could have been omitted. Other than that, very good book.

Irva Robidoux: I felt like I was missing the first chapters in this book as I started. Had to make sure this was book one. Other than that the story was great and had a good ending.

Terry Mulder: I guess this was a good read, would have scored 3 1/2 but not an option. It was a sweet story but was lacking something. He had arrived to tell her that her husband had died. She is now upset as this could prevent her from adopting the little girl she had always taken care of in the orphanage where she grow up. When the man from the orphanage arrives he mistakes him for her husband. He plays along to help her gain custody but behind him returning is another reason. They both adopt the little girl and also an older boy. They are made to marry and to keep everyone safe he decides to move. HEA ending.

Kindle Customer: I would have given 5 stars, but the ending for me was a let down. Jessie felt betrayed and let down by Chase on discovering why he returned, early on in the book. This was a ridiculous scenario as they had only just met and had no feelings for each other. Her response at the end of the book was extreme to say the least.
Apart from that, the storyline was good and the characters well written.

H. E. Greenslade: I was offered a free download some time ago and thought I would give this book ago. It was heart warming and fluffy, but really, not an awful lot happened. The characters were well developed to an extent that you knew they were nice people and you could imagine what they looked like, but I felt the story lacked substance and the author could have taken the time to delve into the back story of each of the characters more to make the story much more of a gritty read. There was also no great tragedy either, which I think a good book always needs. It was OK - but I wont be reading any more by this author.

Amazon Customer: Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!
It was the first historical romance novel and first Caroline Fyffe book I have read. I will definately be reading this author again.
The author tells a story of a vulnerable girl who turns to a stranger when in need and through this she helps him put some demons to rest and opens his heart to love again. I loved the innocence of the heroine but also the kindness and strength she portrays when dealing with situations life throws at her. The typical strong and handsome hero slowly begins to realise that a wife and family is what he wants from life.
The book was a light-hearted read that will put a smile and a worried frown on your face. Perfect for readers who like historical romances.

callalilies: I was hesitant with all the positive reviews because as usual, I just knew something had to be wrong and all these people were blowing lots of smoke or friends of the author and so forth. But I took a gamble and I'm unsure how I feel as a whole.
Overall I think Where the Wind Blows has a truly excellent storyline. Everything is just right BUT the pacing is odd and a lot of the personality traits with the hero and heroine were irritating.
THIS is that book. The one where you're getting close to the end...10 or so pages then the REAL bad stuff happens. I don't like drawing out the drama until the very last second because it makes the beginning and middle just feel like filler.
Jessie is a great heroine but with the odd pacing the author flips her personality. Jessie and our hero Chase have a slow building attraction but honestly, at times it just felt like sexual lust over them actually "liking" each other and falling in love. He's been in mourning over his beloved Molly for 3 years and here's a pretty young blond. He's a red-blooded male so naturally he can't stop thinking of her sweet smell, and innocent face and body. He's horny. Jessie, a widow who never...

L. Burns: Chase Logan has one stop to make on his way to Cheyenne. He's agreed to tell Nathan Strong's widow of her husband's death and hand over Nathan's pay. One small task and then the free-spirited cowboy can be on his way to his next job. But one look at Jessie Strong and Chase isn't quite so anxious to hit the road...
Jessie isn't devastated to hear of Nathan's death, but it couldn't have come at a worse time. Jessie has made arrangements to adopt a young girl and the adoption can't go through unless Jessie has a husband. Would it harm anything to pretend that Chase was her husband just long enough for the adoption to be official? And just what kind of "rights" is a pretend husband entitled to?
The part of the story dealing with Chase's growing attraction to Jessie and her adopted family was sweet and engaging. I would have liked to see that develop a little more slowly, as it is Chase goes from cowboy loner to family man in a span of about 3 days. I did like the way domesticity just sort of snuck up on Chase and some of his awkward moments around Jessie were quite funny. The writing is smooth and the author does a nice job describing her characters and drawing you into...
