Wayne: Very good product, the difference in toughness between colours was quite subtle though. Would have been better if they reduced the levels of toughness and let me have more of the hardest colour.

Rebecca L Wesch: Bought this on recommendation by my physical therapist for exercises for my hand after surgery. The different strength putty’s really work. The only problem I have with this product is they make a mess if you forget to put them back in the containers. They just ooze everywhere and if they get on your clothes, it is almost virtually impossible to get out. Besides that, I found them really useful as I gained movement in my hand.

Erwin Pototschnik: Arrived early and product performs as expected. Would have been 5 stars except that the plastic lid on one of the tubs was slit (probably with an exacto knife in your warehouse) making it impossible to seal tight. Your packer obviously saw it because he put your company label over the cut. .

Long time Customer: I bought this set because I am currently recovering from wrist surgery, and I need very much to have my strength back as my job is dangerous and physical. My safety depends partially on my ability to physically control dangerous people.

Basically, exercise putty is the silly putty you played with as a kid (maybe even an adult "kid"), but with differing amounts of resistance. This means they have the same downsides as silly putty. This means that they can conform to nearly anything, they can stick to text and copy it, and they can pick up cat and dog hair like crazy (so if you have animals or a really dusty house, be careful to put them right back in their cases when you are done)

The different colors are good steps up (or down) in resistance levels, not too much, not too little. They are all great for different times in your progress, or different exercises. For instance, some people have said that the brown is too weak. For my current weakness, it is actually a great place to start. If you are just using them to work out, and you aren't weak, you can use this softer putty for doing longer workouts more focused on endurance. I tend to use the brown and yellow putties...

Brittany: I'm a pediatric occupational therapist in a public school with very few resources, and this is one of my most useful tools. All my students have autism and they love playing with the putty, making designs with it, finding hidden items inside, etc. Perfect for hand strengthening as well as sensory processing. Love the 6 different grades for different abilities too!

jennifer: My son is truly ambidextrous which although a good thing leads to difficulties crossing the midline, strengthening his hands etc. We do workouts and sports to help the situation but the fine motor was still an issue with tiring from printing during homework etc. These were recommended by our OT (occupational therapist) and they've been great. He "plays" with them while watching tv. Color coded for difficulty they are Easy to use, no overwhelming smell, sturdy tubs for storage. Great product! I would recommend to others.

Rebecca B: I ordered this set of putty after having bilateral carpal tunnel surgery. My surgeon did not order PT/OT right away, and having the putty to use (once my stitches were out) really helped build back my hand strength. I did eventually go to OT, more for stiffness and decreased range of motion, but grip strength measurements taken there 6 weeks after surgery were improved compared to before surgery - and I credit the theraputty for helping me do that. I ended up mixing the colors to get mid-level resistances (as instructed by my OT), but it was great to have such a range to start with.

9 months after my surgery, I can honestly say I've got full strength in my hands, for someone my age. I still enjoy using the putty to keep my hands busy while watching TV, etc. It is not greasy, but will leave a slight odor on your hands. I find that comes off with soap and water. I find the top two putty levels too hard to use even still, while the softest was too soft even right after surgery, when I could not open twist-top lids or carry a bag of groceries. Great range, I definitely recommend it!
