Lopez: My original hose protector started to leak out of the side so I bought this one as a replacement. Given the price I wanted to give it a try. It has worked great and I love how easy it is to connect/disconnect with the plastic tabs. No leaks all summer! :)

Mom of 2: Every time we hooked up to city water for our camper it would leak at the camper connection. I think maybe the strain of the weight of the hose was causing this. Reading others posts I tried 2 different connections to see if we could stop the leak. First was a “quick connect”. That didn’t work. Second , was this flexible connector and once I tightened it no more leak! This was def cheaper than replacing our whole city water outlet.

Larry Badke: The item appears to be well made, however it is not flexible enough to be of any real use to reduce the strain on the plastic RV water filler inlet when a hose is attached to it. A better option would be a 45 to 90 degree elbow which is what I will be buying.

The G Man: I grow fruit trees and a vegetable garden in hot Arizona, so I need to water my plants long and slow, so that the water gets deep into the soil, where it won't easily evaporate, and where it can help wash away the mineral salts that have accumulated in the root zones of my plants. Since I am unable to spend all day monitoring this watering process, I have needed to use multiple hoses connected to multiple hose bibs, which I then need to run for long periods of time when I cannot be present. This is accomplished by using plastic timer valves that I have installed between the metal hose bibs and the hoses. If proper care is not used when the hoses are moved, the plastic timer valves can be broken at the point where they are attached to the solid metal hose bibs next to the house. The repeated replacement of broken timer valves can be expensive and a big inconvenience. I have found that these unnecessary damages can be almost completely avoided by installing short and flexible, spring-covered pieces of hose between the metal hose bibs and the plastic timer valves, so that the spring-covered hose pieces can absorb the damaging shock of a hose being pulled at a harmful angle.
