Cadence CR7 Spinning Fishing Rod, 40 Ton Carbon Blank and Fuji Reel Seat for Enhanced Performance

Pete Davies: I have been an angler for 35+ years and fish for anything that swims.
I purchased this Cadence CR7 7'2" ML for drop shot fishing from the bank in summer 2023.
I have several Cadence products (CR5 rods of varying types mostly) but this was my first CR7.
This rod is excellent value. The components used are premium and the build quality in my experience matches. I have a great deal of confidence in this rod and have pulled a lot of Bass to the bank with it, the largest being a little over 5 1/2 lbs.
This rod pairs nicely with a 2000 size reel and is well balanced, it is light weight and feels great in the hand. I can literally go all day with this thing. Using quality braid (Daiwa J-Braid x8 10lb) the feedback while finesse fishing is fantastic and allows me to fish light and feel everything, even the most sensitive of bites.
I have many rods that cost a great deal more than this (Shimano, Daiwa, Lews) and i choose this one first if drop shot fishing is what the Bass are demanding.
The rod was very well packaged in a protective tube and arrived timely.

Desmond: Rod is great. Only ding 1 star because the 7’2” ML rod I got feels more like a medium: in overall handling and dimensions. It’s an awesome piece and I’ll definitely keep it for my quiver- however I’m using it with a size 30 reel instead of the size 20 I bought it for.

The Steel Tiger: Very light weight and incredibly sensitive rod, very impressive that I could feel the difference between rocks, wood, weeds, sand etc on the bottom from lure to line to pole. That I can’t complain about.
It is very fragile tho, a bluegill broke the tip of the rod off about 6” in total.
Return for defect was easy.

Inform: I've used this in about 11 outings now, and my impressions are:

Lightweight. Very. Easily matches a Shimano SLX in this category.

Action is true to it's markings. I use purely braided lines, and these seem to be able to hold up without wear. I've had Lew's rods have their inserts knocked loose by a braid-leader knot, and the cadence inserts seem firmly seated in. No issues.

Sensitive. Excellent bottom feel. Its equal to or better than my SLX, Lew's TP1, Dobyns Fury, or Enigma titanium pro. I can feel bottom pebbles against a 1/4oz tungsten shakeyhead in 15mph wind. Crucial for the soft bite in late winter.

I cannot attest to rod durability, but I can say high modulus rods are sensitive to handling damage. A fish won't break it, but a clumsy moment with a door, hatch, or tailgate WILL. That's any brand.

Customer Service: I have two three Cadence spinning reels (CS8,Cs7,Cs6) and 5 CB8's, and they are my favorite reels to throw after 1+ years. If the rod keeps performance like my reels, I've made an excellent choice.

BuddyBuddy: What a beautiful Piece of craftsmanship. I must say first , I haven’t put a reel on it yet, but Lord Willing , It won’t be long. I was going to order the 6’ 9” med Hvy after receiving this med. But now I’m waiting to be able to toss some Jigs around first with this one. I might be ordering another one just like this. The rod feels great in my hand. It is definitely light, and that’s with stainless steel eyes which are constructed strong like no others I’ve seen before. I feel I can say without ever having got the rod near water yet, This is just like I was hoping it to be after reading the ad on it and way more. I will comment on it again after trying out what I bought it for( tossing 1/4 to 1/2 ounce Jigs in moving water from 3 to 23 foot depth. I believe the extra fast tip is going to allow me to snap it up sharp once hitting the bottom and be able to feel a slight tap from anything trying to taste some plastic.
