Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I'm a cook, so I'm always looking for interesting ingredients to play around with. I've been looking for a good butter oil alternative, and this oil stood out to me. All the others I've come across contain hydrogenated oils and preservatives that aren't so great.
I really like that this oil is just a simple blend of canola and the butter flavoring!
The package arrived quickly and in good condition, and the oil was properly sealed. The estimated use-by date is roughly one year, at least on the bottle I received. The oil was not rancid, and it immediately smelled just like a movie theater.
The oil by itself tastes buttery, but it definitely shines more as an accent to your foods. It's great for sauteing and searing too, and it leaves behind a nice, savory buttery flavor. I've added it along with my olive oil and neutral vegetable oils.
Of course, it's great on popcorn too! I just drizzle it onto my microwave popcorn (for now.)
