DAVEDAVE: Did need a super minor mod to work with my racks. I had to open the s hook to be wider so they would hook properly. Over all I'm super happy with this system.

Subsidiarity: These bags hit the right combination of functionality, simplicity, weight, size, and on-bike compactness when not being used. I was concerned about the hooks wearing on my black bike rack, so I wrapped the rack at the hook contact points with self-adhering silicon tape for protection and to stop any possible front/back slippage. Whether this would ever be a problem, I don't know for certain but now I cam confident that it won't be. (I'm just really into the pre-emptive ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure mindset.) The bungee cord to secure the bottom of the backs works very well. It's my preferred method of pannier bag attachment as the constant tension makes for a very secure attachment. I'm really pleased with these cargo bags. They are perfect for commuter bike runs to the grocery store. But for a gravel. road, or mountain bike? No. The practicality of these is limited to commuter/city bikes.

David: These panniers definitely hold a lot, and seem pretty well-suited for heavier loads of groceries. I've been using it for trips to the farmers' market on the weekends, and as a general-use spot to store things like my lock-up cable, bag, etc.

My one complaint is that they are really quite bare-bones, and seem very overpriced for what you're actually getting. If they wind up lasting more than a couple of years then maybe I'll change my mind on that, but my initial impression is that the price I paid was too much for what I got.

Jonathan jaffe: These are so awesome. I use these everyday on my commuter bike and i love them. I had to bend the hooks to fit my bike but once i did i never had to worry about it again. They come off super easy and they fold up and out of the way.

Payne FamilyPayne Family: Great product! Got these to go on my Velotric e-bike. With these I do most of my grocery shopping on that bike. They fit perfectly on the rack and will haul one fully loaded reusable grocery bag on each side. Really easy to remove when not in use, they also fold up neatly with an empty grocery bag tucked inside either on or off the bike. Though not intended for this, my small dogs also love riding in them for short rides around the neighborhood.
