John M.: Never pack extra tinder, again. Very small and light item. It can be secured on a single molle loop. (Some find that info important, like me) I tried making one of these. I couldn't get the weight down or properly wax the cordage without a tremendous mess. This item is worth the money, by far.

Aaron.cardinal: The media could not be loaded. The waxed jute cord works very easily, and literally anyone can do it. Each cord, can light dozens and dozens of fires if you have everything prepped. No, it is not for lighting a LOG on fire. This is why we create tinder bundles around this cordage. The cordage should be considered for emergencies, which means the more of it that you use is the less you have for the next fire. Prep a tinder bundle and place the jute cord within it. Then once it is all lit. Add bigger twigs, and then sticks. I only say it this way because there are people on this site who do not understand the Mechanics of building a fire.
