First Century ChristianFirst Century Christian: I was actually looking for a pocket ICEpick with a shield and pocket clip for picnics. I misread the description (my bad)
What's funny is that the toothpick holder came in a bag labeled Bullseye Office MAGNETS,"great for use on magnetic map (I didn't know they made magnetic maps), whiteboard, fridge, lockers."
It gave me a good laugh but I'm still looking for a small shielded pocket ICEpick with a clip.

Sandra Major: It happens. I’m out for a bite with friends and on the way home it occurs to me that there might be a little something between a couple of teeth. This product is tucked away in my purse so that relief is quick and embarrassment avoided. A good little product that lasts and lasts. Extras are a good little gift to have on hand to give to any friend looking for a toothpick. Useful. Appreciated. I would think a “keepsake” for years to keep handy.

Hakuso: I bought this to use with melaleuca chewing sticks. They are, by definition, very oily. Definitely not a problem with a full stainless holder, but the chromed brass cap and mystery plastic are cause for concern. One star off for a misleading description.

It holds eight chewing sticks, about the same dimensions as the typical round diner toothpicks, but being larger than the generic flat and tiny round toothpicks I didn't expect this to hold a full dozen. No stars off there.

Case was VERY dirty, though not oily as some have reported, and the small diameter of the opening made it incredibly difficult to clean. After a few dozen washes all the bits of grime and tiny chips of colored plastic were gone. It does state on the packaging (though nowhere in the description) that you must wash and dry thoroughly before use, and I always clean things well before using them as you never know what kind of gunk is left over from the manufacturing process. Unfortunately the state it was in, far beyond what is reasonable to expect from a new item and being so difficult to really get in there and clean, results in another star drop.

I'm leaving this at three stars, for now, as...
